朝食では自分でワッフルが焼けます。従業員の方々も気さくな人で、英語は苦手でも丁寧に教えてくれました。

Mixed reaction, but would stay again . . .

Pros: Easy access to interstate, close to restaurants, gas stations, etc. Well lighted parking lot.
Cons: Repairs to door deadbolt, replace safety latch/chain. Clean window slide for mold. Fix bathroom vent fan.
Location: Close to nice restaurant (in another lodge a block away) - very good food. About a block north, on the west side of the road. Ate there twice.
Not bad for the money, but some issues. Door had no safety latch/chain, but the screw holes where one had been removed were visible. Also, door did not fit door jamb exactly right, and deadbolt would not slide into plate. Key didn't work the second day, had to get it re-issued. Waited at the desk close to 10 minutes for someone to appear. "Ring this bell for desk attendant" button didn't work, I finally called the front desk from my cell phone, he said he was helping someone else and would be there as soon as he could. I know they can't staff for two at desk all day, but waiting 20 minutes to get a key reissued (which should not have expired in the first place) was annoying. Also, there was some fine black dirt (?) on the window slide. Don't know if it was mold, there was no bad odor at all, but would have preferred it be clean. Bed was comfortable, bathroom exhaust fan rattled like a power drill in the wall. Fan was not on separate switch, so any time the bathroom light was on the noise was there. Floors and bedding were clean, no bed bugs, no smoke smell, room was clean. Parking lot was well lighted, but I could do without the strobe flashing at the entrance. I would stay again, but I'd check the fan and deadbolt before unpacking, and ask for a different room . . . . I was in 207.

Epitome of a 2 star hotel

Posted 20-Sep-2016
I was disappointed in this hotel. I requested clean fleece blankets for the beds but the attendant said the ones on there were clean. But when I turned the bed down there was a dark stain from a shoe maybe and also what looked like milk spots on the blanket. Did not look clean to me. The room stank really bad, the hotel attendant did however provide us with a "fresh air" box you plug in. I can't say it took away the smell completely but it seemed to help. The toilet paper roll was falling out of the wall, dirt in tile crevices in the bathroom. Shower curtain wouldn't stay shut. One bed way more comfortable than the other bed. Room needs some updating. Breakfast was waffles, oatmeal, cereal, bread, and fresh fruit. Not too bad; until my 10 year old son found something floating in the bottom of his milk cup that looked a lot like mold, it was disgusting! Overall, the hotel was "ok" but I wouldn't ever stay there again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

Cons: Could have a better breakfast, but you get what you pay for.
Location: Close to airport, resturants, Harley Davidson plant, etc.
Great place to rest and easy access to everything. Provides a great value breakfast. Will listen to your needs, I forgot my phone charger, and they had several left behind from past guests.

Needs to be updated. Carpets worn out at least on my floor. I would not recommend even at the low price.

Decent catch for the price

Posted 15-Sep-2016
Pros: Location, price, swimming pool, snack bar
Cons: Staff attitude, bathroom amenities, beds need firmer mattresses
Location: 5 minutes from KCI airport, gas station/convenience store nearby, Sarpino's pizza delivery
My fiancee and I stayed here to be close to the KCI airport the night before her flight home. We paid very little for the night, and I would say the hotel was definitely worth the money. Bathroom was pretty basic--just shampoo and 2 bars of soap. There was a coffee pot with two coffee pods, cream, and sugar. We ordered Sarpino's pizza for the evening, which was delivered directly to the room. There is a decent snack shop downstairs, computer, wifi, and newspaper. I don't really have any complaints about this place, considering the close proximity to the airport and the price. Things that are a bummer: the staff is not friendly (but I've had rude staff at ritzy hotels), amenities are extremely basic, you can smell (slightly) that the rooms used to be smoking, some scraps of rolled-up carpet were sitting in the corner in the corridor where they had re-done the carpet (but, at least this means the carpet was new). Warning: the towels are too small--ask for extra towels for your room. We prefer a firm bed, but the beds here are "squishy." We slept fine though, and the bed was clean. Overall, if you just want a cheap place to stay and be alone the night before your flight, just go ahead and stay here. Enjoy the swimming pool!

Convenient!!

Posted 12-Sep-2016
Pros: please see above.
Cons: The management is refurbishing the hotel with new carpet, paint, etc.
Location: please see above
First of all I want to commend the hotel staff for their pleasing demeanors. Mr. John Brady is extremely commendable! This man represents a true Christian attitude. He is a Jack of all Trades, professional and courteous under very trying circumstances. He is very helpful with helpful with a ready smile. The hotel is average but clean, has a very reliable shuttle service, the hotel is located very close to the airport, the indoor pool is clean and warm almost like a sauna and the breakfast is adequate. The hotel is very close to restaurant chains and very near and interstate that is a straight shot to the downtown area.
