Very quiet country setting. Staff hardworking and accommodating. Limited amenities. Limited staff. More isolated. Poor access to attractions, shops, restaurants. No working in-room phone. Spotty WiFi. Water not working.

This hotel would be more like what you consider a lodge. 16 rooms, all very different and charming. What makes this hotel spectacular however it is the staff that work there. They’re all very close and friendly beyond words. The staff is also extremely accommodating. We moved over to meet friends in a five star, contemporary, western, high class hotel after 4 days. The upscale hotel mind you, is four times the cost. Although the five Star hotel is magnificent it was definitely not a better experience than the Mane. I have traveled to over 50 countries and can only tell you that our stay at the Mane was absolutely top-notch.

"Well located but neglected. Cracked & creaking bath. Dirty area behind glass shower screen that poured water onto the floor. Neglected swimming pool with many missing tiles. Only hotel I’ve ever visited that a) had a price list for every item in the room in case I stole them and b) insisted on checking ..."
