Beautiful room with traditional and modern Japanese influences. Beds very comfortable. Lovely staff. Laundry room and Onsen were really great. Bettei area of hotel had its own entrance/exit and lift, which made coming and going very quick and easy. Very convenient location.

Property nestled in the heart of KIYOMIZU…leave a serene environment and walk out to a little hustle and bustle and some beautiful views …amazing property! Staff was friendly … Expedia notes pool access which is not accurate …no pool on property …

Hotel Fauchon Kyoto was beyond excellent and truly exceeded our expectations. The service was exemplary from start to finish. Everyone on the staff was wonderful — reception, the maître d’ at Breakfast, housekeeping, and restaurant staff all made us feel very welcome.
The room was spacious, very comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The amenities were amazing. Breakfast and dinner were both fantastic, and the food was excellent throughout our stay.
The hotel is also very conveniently located for exploring Kyoto.
Simply put, this hotel goes beyond five stars. The best hotel experience we have had in our travels in Japan.

Clean room in a nice part of Kyoto. This hotel is a bit of a walk from Gion and the older parts of Kyoto but centrally located for shopping and restaurants.
