Newley renovated waterfront home with private beach area


  • Hello, we ae gearing up for 2026. We are hoping to add boar rental this year, so if you are interested, inquire when you book. We are still working out the details.


    Welcome to paradise! Our home has recently been completely renovated and updated. It now boasts 4 bedrooms with sleeping accommodation's for up to 11 people. The 2 main level bedrooms have queen beds and a tv, the master bedroom upstairs has amazing views of the lake, with a king size bed, tv, walk in shower and deep bathtub for washing all the sand away, the other bedroom on the upper level has 4 beds-3 twin and 1 full, this room is perfect for all the kids! or adults ;) and a full on suite. The deck is now partially covered to provide some shade if desired.
    Everything is this house is brand new...all new furniture, brand new comfortable sectional to relax on and look out to the lake, all new kitchen appliances and washer and dryer, and new patio furniture. Enjoy a night under the stars making smores in the bonfire pit, or relaxing on the covered deck in the morning with a cup of coffee. You will enjoy your time on Manistee Lake, it is a very calm, quiet, all sports lake, our beach front depth stays shallow (2-4ft) for about 10 ft out which is perfect for young kids! We have a paddle boat and canoe for renters to use.

    We are located about 40 min from downtown Traverse City, which is full of shopping, eating and beautiful wineries, it is a must see! Petosky is about 1 hour away which is also an adorable little town with shops and beautiful water views! Want to stay a little closer? check out the cute little towns of Gaylord or Mancelona.

    Our lake house isn't just perfect for a summer get a way, you must come see it in the fall after the leaves have changed or if snow is your thing, come up and enjoy all the snowmobile trails located in the area!

    We are no longer asking you to bring your own bedding. Some towels and beach towels will also will be available. Too many people complaining about too many different sizes of beds. That being said you may be asked to start a load of laundry , before you leave, depending on when the cleaning lady will arrive. I also had to raise the cleaning charge to account fro doing laundry.

Spacious and comfortable

My family stayed at this property for a week and it exceeded our expectations. Since I had my little ones traveling with us, we really appreciated the shallow water, private location, and kind neighbors. The covered patio was a luxury. The home was clean upon arrival and there were no surprises - we packed our own sheets and towels for ease. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. We had a fabulous time in this updated home and would love to stay again!

Great location but not clean

Listing says you can use their sheets for an extra cleaning fee, but that is not accurate. You have to bring your own sheets and they have 4 different mattress sizes. They told us to bring our own beach towels which is fine, but they did not provide any bath or hand towels and that was not mentioned. We spent over a hour between two people cleaning when we arrived. Every hand soap container in the house was nearly empty upon arrival. Bathrooms were not in sanitary condition, fridge empty but not clean, dog hair everywhere including inside the fridge. The location is great and neighbors are friendly. Just be prepared for the above if you rent this place.

Great Experience

Newly renovated top to bottom, quiet location with fantastic views. Can't say enough positive things about the hosts. Very engaged and pride of ownership shines through. All kinds of lake "toys" to enjoy, gas bbq and fire pit were used a lot. Fully equipped kitchen. Washer & dryer. AC but not necessary with fans in all rooms. Outside deck has not been fully enclosed as yet. Very comfortable lounges and sofas as well as patio table and chairs. A couple minor issues with the newly added upstairs- towel racks in bathrooms or hanging poll for clothes not yet installed. The view from the master bedroom, on the second floor, is spectacular. The master bedroom is very large and includes a comfortable chair and ottoman. Kids dorm had four beds with attached bathroom (nice design touch by owners). Definitely, would recommend for family gatherings.

We had a wonderful stay. The home was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen very well stocked. Because water is shallow so far out, it was very warm. High water levels meant less sandy beach area but it was not a problem. The entire family was delighted with and spent hours on the floating pad, thank you.

Hidden Gem on the Lake

Beautiful newly renovated house on the lake! Perfect for families to gather and enjoy the water. Very quiet and peaceful. Water was shallow enough for kids under age 7 to swim in the lake with their lifejackets on and play in the sand.

Place was beautiful. Nice quiet lake. The best part for us was the beachy waterfront. My 1 and 3 year old niece and nephew had a wonderful time swimming in the shallow sandy water. Very safe for little kids. We were able to scoop some extra sand from the water to build some sand castles on the beach area. The older kids had a great time exploring the lake with the provided paddle boats and kayaks. The owner was responsive and nice to deal with. Fires out front every night were lovely and we could even see the Milky Way on a clear night. The porch was great seating for family games and meals. Neighbors were friendly and helpful. All three bathrooms were nice and new. We were able to make several trips to local towns all within an hour away: Traverse City Schooner Manitou ice cream cruise was awesome/ tallshipsailing.com, Alden at Torch lake, Petoskey for shopping and food, and a Platte River tubing trip that let out into Lake Michigan. There were a couple of minor repair/ or work in progress items that didn't bother us much (slider doors were super sticky, a broken closet door that had no slider track, downstairs TV was not on a stand or mounted, so just tippy for adventurous toddlers). The TV did have an attached and working firestick which was nice. Whole family was happy and we highly recommend.

Property manager was total Jerk

Arrived August 9th lost power from storm on August 10th at 11:15pm stayed a night with no AC no fans no water still had another night to stay called property manager at 8am and said we would check back in the afternoon for power restoration otherwise we have to leave he agreed to refund one nights stay then when I told him we were leaving because of no power he said he would refund one night....... now still no refund and his tone and story changed! Definitely a selfish Jerk to say the least it's people like him that ruin it for everyone!

Great place with the exception of dog hair

Very nice place on nice property on a Great Lake. Neighbors were very nice. Only issue was the dog hair, the smell of dog and the fire pit was littered with garbage when we arrived. Did not expect to have to do a deep clean when we arrived, but once everything was clean, we had a very nice stay.

The stay was ok. It wasn’t at all what we expected. The cottage wasn’t the cleanest. Dog hair everywhere, fridge and cabinets were dirty. It worked but my expectations were much higher. The lake was nice and peaceful, we enjoyed the time outdoors.

A nice older cottage

We enjoyed the location and the shallow private beach was so nice for our kids. It is an older cottage but there are some nice updates. We had plenty of cool air even without any air conditioning. We were blown away by how quiet the area was. Overall a nice stay off the beaten path.

Peaceful weekend

My wife and l really enjoyed our stay. We had plans to go into Travas City but, we were so comfortable and relax we stayed in and enjoy th scenery. The neighbors were very friendly and some came by to talk we us. I check to see if the property was available for Memorial Day weekend to return but, it was booked! I would recommend this property to anyone that was to get away from eeryday life.

2020 grandma palooza

5 retired grandmas from all over the state came together at this property. Cute cottage on Manistee Lake. On arrival we found the kitchen floor had debris, spiders and webs in the bath tub, fire pit had garbage in it. We figured no one had been there to cleanup after the last people vacated. All of which we cleaned up and enjoyed our time there together.

Wonderful time!

We had a wonderful time at this property. It was quiet and peaceful. The beach was excellent for our kids (3 and 6) to play at, sandy and shallow. We didn't catch any fish, but enjoyed paddling around the lake in the paddle boat. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to return in the future.
