  • I took this photo in Messinia, Greece in summer 2016. It's of Voidokilia Beach and it's surroundings. Voidokilia Beach is on the Peloponnese peninsula and it was the most picturesque beach that I visited during that Greek trip, which was almost exclusively in Messinia. On that mountain is Nestor's Cave and above this are the ruins of a 13th-century Frankish castle (Old Navarino or Palaiokastro). Look closely and you will see :). I didn't get to walk up there. It was brutally hot that day and I spent most of the time at the beach. But, I did make time for some hiking. Near where I took this photo there was a lot of medieval or ancient ruins. Near those beautiful rocks. I had to be careful when walking on them, but it was worth it!

Esperides offre appartamenti fronte mare inseriti in un bel contesto di spazio. Non è presente una vera e propria spiaggia, ci sono scogliere e di fronte alla struttura hanno creato la possibilità di accedere in mare. Gli appartamenti sono 5, tutti identici a detta del proprietario e c'è un comodo parcheggio privato. Nel grande spazio comune si possono trovare tavolini, aree relax con sdraio, un area bimbi con scivolo, altalene e altri giochi ed un area con due zone barbecue. Gli appartamenti, tutti con ingresso indipendente, hanno una bella e rilassante terrazza vista mare ed offrono un angolo cucina abbastanza attrezzato defilato dalla zona giorno con divano letto e divano, una camera da letto separata ed un piccolo bagno con doccia. Gli spazi sono giusti per un piacevole soggiorno. Il livello di pulizia è nella norma, mentre il wifi non funzionava come tale.. attenzione ai gatti che possono essere insistenti e sfondano anche la già di suo traballante zanzariera. Il proprietario, nonostante ci aveva confermato via messaggio un mese prima una nostra richiesta sulla tipologia di appartamento, 4 giorni prima ci ha avvisato che non sarebbe più stato possibile.

spring holiday

the owner was very accommodating from leaving the keys for us on first night {we were going to be late]to helping us with a problem not related to the property many thanks. As for the property they were very clean and we thought plenty of room for a couple 2 children would have fitted in as well ,out side area was excellent with plenty of places to sit it is very quite and a easy walk to nearest restaurants 15 min.If i went back that way would stay again was very happy with the place

Perfect for a couple or family with small kids

We stayed here three nights in the low season (mid April). It is one of the many hotels in Greece that charge extra beyond two people, even if they’re your children. We’re a family of five. The kids are 10, 15 and 17. The cottage was cute but it was a tight fit for the five of us. Super clean. Amazing view. I’d stay here again as just a couple and put my kids in their own unit. Solar water heater. On cloudy days cool showers were not enjoyable. There is a power water heater but it only seemed to work at night. Advertised onsite laundry was not available. Nice bedding and good pillows. It was really a cute place. The setup reminded me of an IKEA apartment. Space maximized to the fullest.

Perfect summer location.

Summer destination but, even in winter, we enjoyed the surrounding area.The place was clean and well equiped with very comfortable bed.Nice location just on the seaside, but not for swimming as it is full of rocks.In short distance, there are very nice places for swimming.Recomended for families and not only..

Superbe place!

Wow! Quel site magnifique. le détour pour visiter cette région en vaut largement la peine. L'emplacement légèrement retiré de la route de ces 5 maisons en rengées est parfait pour le calme. La vue est superbe et le site ne peut être plus relaxant. Tout ce que nous avions besoin était là, le site est bien aménagé et proche du village pour tous les besoins. Nous étions une famille de 4 avec 2 ados, et nous avons adoré!

petite maison de bord de mer

Agréable bingalow au bord de mer, baignade possible, mais attention, ce sont des rochers et non une plage de sable fin. Vue de la terrasse magnifique, ambiance paisible et reposante.Personnel sympa, "typique". Peu de touristes dans ce coin du Péloponnèse, immersion sympa dans la vie des grecques.
