We paid for late check-out (3 PM), only to return at 2 PM and find the door code already changed with our belongings locked inside. The condo itself is great and the pool area is nice and not too busy. Very clean and everything in good working order. Comfy beds and furniture. Getting in and out, even with a late arrival is no problem with the keyless entry system. The lanai is great for outdoor meals or relaxing on, but because the unit is in one of the furthest back buildings you can only see a sliver of the ocean. The beach across the street wasn't safe for swimming during our visit, but we were prepared for that based on the time of year we visited (March). It was still enjoyable for sitting in the sand and checking out the tidepools and watching the sun set. There's pretty much only one walkable option for eating, which is the restaurant right across the street. It has a fantastic patio right on the water. Driving into Kona will take just 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
