It's spacious, fully-equipped, ocean view when you sit outside and off Ali'i drive, 2 miles from the Ironman swim start. 2 parkings spots were included but we chose to walk on Ali'i drive or take Uber when needed. We were pleasantly surprised with the wonderful renovations that awaited us, new flooring, split A.C. and new features to the kitchen and bath. They also got a brand new sofa bed put into the unit. We had a nice family gathering at the recreation area, with all of the equipment necessary for a safe cookout. There's also a cool and breezy pavilion to sit under and talk story with family. After eating a nice lunch we took a refreshing dip in the pool. The property is very clean and Brad the property manager was very pleasant to work with. It was such an awesome stay! Close to Kona, with lots of shops. Nice view of the ocean. The wrap-around porch was so nice; we ate our meals out there every day. The complex is quiet, near the ocean, well maintained and offers really handy access to Kailua-Kona. The suite itself is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen has been updated and the master ensuite is WOW! The huge wrap-around lanai offers peek-a-boo views and lots of geckos. Air conditioning works well, beds are comfortable, even the futon in the living room. The two parking spaces are very convenient, only steps to the stairs that lead almost directly to the upper corner unit. Only drawback we found is that both bathrooms are ensuite style, so the fifth adult had to come through one of the two bedrooms to use a bathroom. Fortunately, we are all friends and it wasn't an issue. I'd stay again next time I'm in town and needing a two bedroom condo. Bedrooms are on opposite ends of this large unit and it truly felt like home. The location of Kona Shores was very convenient to the eateries, shops and the event that we traveled to Kona for (Liliuokalani Race) along Ali'i Drive.
