This condo has been completely remodeled in 2011 with tile and granite. Clean, comfortable, quiet and located just steps from both the saltwater and freshwater pools, beach-front barbeque and private beach area. The Casa oceanfront condo complex is 1 mile south of Kailua town on Alii drive, and easily reached on foot or bike. Located on site is a well stocked mini market with great deli and liquor store, a beauty salon, flower shop, message studio and Laundromat. Once you arrive, there is no reason to leave. My wife and I spent a week here for our anniversary. Our plans were to explore the island with a rental car and have a place to unwind at the end of busy days and Joe’s condo was the perfect place for just that. Its a great size for 2 people. Its not a ritzy upscale resort (which we were trying to avoid), it felt like home after a few nights. We loved it. We will forever have memories of our time in Hawaii. If we make it back some day we know where we want to stay. Thanks Joe! Pros: - Centrally located on a main road near many beaches, restaurants and shopping centers. - Just a few steps out of the Lanai and you get an unbelievable view of the coast and sunset! - 2 pools to relax in after exploring the island. - All the amenities we needed between the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The bed was incredibly comfortable. - Air conditioning if you need it, cable TV, internet. - Pretty quiet for being on such a busy street. Cons: - The only thing that took away from our experience was the unfortunate luck of having a family above our unit that was very noisy into the night. We could here every footstep. Wonderul amenities - oceanview salt water pool with a view of gorgeous sunsets, access to bbq grills. Fully equipped kitchen, inhouse laundry. Calm and relaxing place - couldnt ask for anything more. It's located a short distance from great beaches in Kona and has all the amenities you need for an extended stay. As bonus, there are two pools you could use. The kitchen and bath was well stocked, Bed was very comfortable. Awesome beach items. The exterior was amazing. The beach side pool next to the ocean was my favorite. We also grilled dinner and ate several breakfasts watching and hearing the waves along with the birds and lit tiki torches I will stay here when I return. I don’t think there is a better place to stay at on this beautiful island. We enjoyed spectacular sunsets with a few green flashes. Lovely neighbors makes for a warm welcome. Joe, I put plumerias at your folks marker. Casa de Emdeko is an amazingly beautiful complex with flowers and clean community areas for eating and relaxing. The private beach was our favorite for watching the waves especially first thing in the morning and sunset. The pool was awesome. The condo itself was clean and beautiful and the ground floor made it easy for enjoying the beach, pool, etc. Joe, the owner, was super nice and I would hope to come here again next time I'm in Kona! Literally 10 seconds to the fresh water pool, so great for refills! The property is so lucious with plants, you really feel like your in a jungle. The condo itself has loads of room for two and all the furniture is very comfortable, especially the recliner. It has a very well stocked kitchen and I suggest you arrive first and take a look at what's there before going grocery shopping. There is a lot of butter right now! The beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards, along with a cooler make beach trips so easy. My only complaint was the pillows. They were too soft for me....but you'll be happy to know there is a new king size firm pillow waiting for you on your next trip courtesy of me.
