A resort-style waterfall spills over lava rock into a deep blue-tiled heated pool.     Designed by acclaimed interior designer Somerled Designs, the Nakukui Home sits on a single level surrounded by lush tropical lawns in the exclusive Kahakai Heights community.

    The resort-style backyard is the heart of the home — a waterfall cascades over black lava rock into a deep blue-tiled heated pool, while a separate spa sits tucked among lush green foliage, alive with birdsong. Dine al fresco at the outdoor BBQ, or simply lounge on the lanai as the palms rustle overhead.

    Inside, the fully equipped chef's kitchen features premium All-Clad cookware, Keurig, Instant Pot, and a fresh bag of local Kona coffee waiting for you. The spacious living room centers around a 65" Samsung Smart TV with Netflix, and blazing 1 Gig fiber WiFi keeps everyone connected throughout. Central A/C keeps every room perfectly cool on warm Hawaiian nights.

    Sleeping arrangements: King in the master suite with ocean view and walk-in closet, two Queens in the second bedroom, and a King in the third — all dressed in luxury linens.

    Everything you need for the beach is already packed — chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear in all sizes, sand toys, a cooler bag and a wagon to carry it all. Traveling with a baby? A crib, pack n' play, baby bathtub, night pads, and high chair are all on hand. Workout weights, yoga mats, and hairdryer round out the rest.

Kona trip

We absolutely loved this house. Everything was well maintained and very comfortable. The location on the island made it easy to get around. The owner was very responsive and the house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again and have already recommended this house to friends.

Wonderful property!

Great stay here with extended family. Close to kona shopping, etc. Owner is very responsive. Property was well cleaned and maintained. We spent more time at the house than originally planned, because it was our own tropical oasis. :)

Property very Welcoming

The property is BEAUTIFUL,the pool is fabulous and the house is amazing. Our family came to Kona to celebrate Birthdays and could not have picked a better place. We enjoyed EVERY minute we were there. The arrangements were easy and the Owners were very communicative. Our family would defiantly come back to this location. Thank you for the great hospitality.

Luck of the Irish!

We celebrated our 70th birthday here, and loved every minute of our stay. Each morning we sat outside and enjoyed our coffee surrounded by bird calls and lush vegetation. We found the host and Peggy very helpful. ♥️

Kailua-Kona Vacation

This is an exceptional vacation home. Well appointed in every way. Swimming pool is warm and refreshing. Easy access to the north or south part of the Big Island. Shortcut trail out of the community allows for easy 30 minute walk to restaurants, shops, and beach along Ali'i Dr. Beautifully landscaped home in a very quiet community.

Tropical Paradise

We loved our stay at this property for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary (6 adults). The pool and yard is everything advertised and more - we didn’t want to leave! The house was well equipped (the beach equipment was an amazing bonus) and the neighbourhood extremely quiet. We loved our stay and the host was extremely responsive. Thank you!

Great stay!

We loved our stay at Sumit’s property. The house was incredibly comfortable (with furnishings recently updated from the photos posted for a more modern and spa-like feel). We arrived at night and we never tired of a few things that revealed themselves the next morning: the lovely pool area, magical landscaped walk up to the gazebo, and view to the ocean every time we drove into the subdivision. We appreciated that the neighborhood was so quiet yet close to town. Highly recommend.

Wonderful host, wonderful house!

This was one of the best VRBO experiences I've had. The host was so responsive prior to an during our stay. They provided detailed check-in, check-out and house guidelines that were very helpful. The house was super clean. This is a great stay for families with young children as they had a crib, pack n'play and high chair. The location was quiet and great as a jumping off point to explore the island. Highly recommended!

Fabulous House & Property

What an incredible home with a gorgeous backyard and pool. Spacious and well-appointed with comfortable beds. Having AC and a heated pool were also great luxuries that we loved. An extra bonus was a tangerine tree on the hill just above the back yard that was producing ripe fruit during our stay. The property host was absolutely incredible with communication. They were on-top of all necessary communication and were informative and responsive to all inquiries.

Week in November

Quiet gated neighborhood that is close to the airport, and has a walking trail that you can take down to the waterfront. Clean and great for our family of six. Beds and linens extremely comfortable. Check in process and owner response was great. Very private and little traffic noise. Livingroom couch was new/comfortable for us to watch movies as a family at night, and TV worked easily. Had everything we needed with beach towels, kitchen well stocked to eat in most meals, and even snorkeling and bogie board. Air-conditioning worked well for us. Also fans in every room. Pool was very cold, colder than the ocean, but able to dip in and cool off. Some baseboards could use replacing (paint chipped/water damage) and the couch in the kitchen area is torn, has an odor and is ready to be replaced. Pesky flies in the morning pool side, and LOTS of mosquitos bites in the afternoon by the pool - the citronella candle that was provided came in handy. Check out process easy, and was a great vacation home for family.

Overall property was ok. The third bedroom was dusty, and second bath also could use a good cleaning. Dust bunnies in corners , stains and towels were dingy along with shower curtain. Black stains behind toilet as well. There are only three beds not really four, you have to use a blow up mattress and there is no convenient place to put the blow up. The gazebo was greasy and dirty. So we couldn’t use it unless you wanted to clean it, As well as the tables by the pool, I did clean them. The pans were not all clad they were peeling non stick . Check out list was long, and guests should not have to put out trash cans and do the laundry. For the price I expected the place to be clean and nice. I don’t think the pool filter system was working either. Most time it was hours or the next day before Sumit contacted me back when I had questions. Overall not worth what I paid.

Suburban Oasis

Located in a quiet, gated community, this home ticks off all the boxes. There is room to spread out with the primary bedroom separated by a lovely open living/kitchen area from the second and third bedrooms. New furnishings and appliances enhance and complement the existing high end finishes. This property feels miles away from anyone. As you step onto the covered lanai, tall privacy fences on either side fade behind lush landscaping, eyes drawing to the dramatic pool replete with waterfall which was a comfortable temperature. Beyond the lower, level yard, separated by a picket fence, lies your private botanical garden. The gentle curvature in the path, secrets you away through brightly flowered shrubs, palms, bamboo and banana trees to name a few. As the elevation eases you higher, the gazebo at the top comes into view. This is where the true magic begins. It is the treehouse you always wanted or perhaps the fairy castle of childhood dreams, offering a birds eye view of the garden below and an ocean beyond, brilliant blue and kissed by sunshine. Once at the top, the undeveloped property behind stretches the privacy even more. This is where we enjoyed morning coffee and evening wine, entranced by the view, delighting in the soft breeze and fresh island air. Whales provided the entertainment blowing, breaching and plashing. Look no further, this property will not disappoint. Sumit, the property owner, is easily reached, professional, thoughtful and accommodating.

Amazing property!

Our stay here was amazing! The house is tucked away in a beautiful, quiet, gated neighborhood. We stayed as 2 families (4 adults, 4 kids) and there was plenty of room and things to do. The outside landscaping and pool were such a hit, especially with the kids. The property was extremely clean and well kept. The property owner had excellent communication and made sure that we had everything we needed both before and during our stay. Definitely a 5-star recommendation

Beautiful home. Great location.

We loved our stay at this spacious, lovely home. The location is on the best side of the island, central to beaches and food options. The beds are comfortable and the community is quiet. We spent lots of time at the beautiful Kua Bay. Peggy, the property manager was wonderful to work with, as was the homeowner. Thank you for a wonderful stay for our family vacation.

Perfect spot in Kona
