Find Hotels with Pool in Kahala Beach Estates, TX

"The singature property or VIP is nice but to use anything you have to cross the main road, not even a crosswalk to get to them, there is also no BBQ near the signature building and the path to the beach is a maze not from the pool area. The kids arcade wa broken when we went, the pool was kinda dirty, in a failure to skim it daily way... the place over all is an ok experience."

"On arrival, I stood at the counter for about 5-8 minutes with awkward silence and no acknowledgment from the person behind the desk. When we went to our room, the air conditioning wasn’t working- we went down to the desk to talk to someone about it - the phone in the room wasn’t working so we couldn’t call down. She let maintenance know and said someone would be up. We waited an hour and no one came so we went back down to the desk. Someone else was working at this time- he said he told maintenance about the problem 2 days ago- he moved us to a room on the first floor-this room had air. The room was poorly maintained. The hotel has three guest washers and dryers and they are all out of order. The breakfast was as it is in all the less expensive hotels. With so many options of less expensive hotels on the beach, I would go elsewhere and will not be returning to this one. There is no “hospitality “ from the workers, the hotel rooms are run down and obviously need decent maintenance. The lobby is bright and clean but deceiving for the rest of the hotel"

"Yes for us beach view was excellent! My wife love it. From the 8th floor! The staff was unbelievable and willing to help in anyway needed. Sorry didn’t eat breakfast in the hotel ate it at I hop just a short walk."

"This was a good hotel for two nights prior to a cruise. They allow guests to park in their lot throughout the cruise with no additional cost, which is nice. The hotel is definitely a vintage traditional motel from back in the day, so there is wear and tear. Thankfully the rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. We were also in a beach-facing room which was nice. Note: they do not automatically have hairdryers in the room (I definitely panicked a little at first). When I called the office there said you have to request it. Thankfully that was a quick fix. Also, no iron or ironing board. We were able to borrow an iron, but still no ironing board. It was a good hotel for convenience to the beach and it has a nice pool with bar and restaurant, but I don’t know that I’d stay again due to location…I liked the downtown area a little better and will stay there next time. We did not eat the breakfast, so I can’t rate that. "

"This property needs serious updating from the rooms to dining experience . The major benefit to this hotel is the location . We were very disappointed in the dining and lack of quality options for a hotel this size . You could tell there was a staffing shortage with the long wait to get our bill . The food option was minimal and the quality of what was ordered was to be desired . The rooms although spacious was outdated. Our rooms had mold on the shower curtains, cracks in the bathroom walls and the bedding had red and brown stains on the sides . Overall , it was a fair stay. "

"We normally love this hotel for the close access to the beach, water view, breakfast, close proximity to restaurants and shopping and their helpful and friendly staff. Unfortunately when we arrived this time they were undergoing an extensive renovation. Nothing wrong with fixing a place up, but there was no mention of this on their website or when we made our reservation. Our room was great and had comfortable beds and bedding, some new furniture, etc. We were sent next door to their sister property for breakfast, which was delicious yet inconvenient. Parking our car was challenging, as was figuring how to get to the front desk because of areas blocked off for construction. I'm sure they'll be done renovating soon, but it would have been nice to know in advance that all this was going on. I would suggest contacting the property to see if they're done if you're thinking of staying here, unless you don't mind some inconveniences."
