The rains did come in the late afternoons and the trekking was a little muddy, but I think it is likely the best time to gorilla trek and/or look for the golden monkeys. "We were only here for one night, but Frances was a great host. The room as clean and comfortable, and he provided a good breakfast. We opted not to go to Volcanoes National Park, but Frances provided us with a great guide, who took us to Twin Lakes. On that trip we met MANY wonderful Rwandans out in the countryside, and saw beautiful scenery. The next morning our guide, Janvier, took us to the park where the baby gorilla naming ceremony is held, then out into the countryside again. FANTASTIC!"

"The property is well maintained and conveniently located just a short walk from the Musanze bus terminal. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The food prepared by the guest house cook was excellent! WiFi was available in the main area and in our room. The staff is kind, welcoming and attentive to every detail. All meals were absolutely wonderful. We were surprised by daily massages being included, and they were extremely appreciated after all the walking. Upon our return from daily activities, staff cleaned our hiking boots until they looked better than new. Every afternoon and evening, a blazing fire greeted us in our room and at night, warm water bottles were delivered to keep us cozy. Book without hesitation, you will be delighted with your stay. "
