Excellent hotel in a fantastic area. This hotel is located in a more quiet residential style neighbourhood rather than the busy city but is well within walking distance to the city centre and Vatican. Also close to major bus and metro routes making travel quick and easy across the city or further away. Was very impressed with the hotel’s standards, cleanliness, amenities and modernisation. The room size was great and it was peaceful. This is a very personal hotel and the staff make every effort to make you feel at home. The staff are very helpful and friendly, at both reception and the cleaning staff. Breakfast was great with a wide range of options and there is also food/drink available in their outdoor space. There is not a bad word to say about our stay and would love to stay again on our next visit. Thank you to all at Apollo Boutique!

Booked through Expedia using the “pay at hotel” option. After driving two hours to get there, I was told my reservation had been canceled because my card was declined. That was false. First, my card was never charged or even attempted. Second, because I selected “pay at hotel,” the hotel should not have tried to charge the card in advance anyway. The staff was extremely unhelpful and repeatedly tried to blame me. I showed them my reservation and proof that no charge had been attempted. At that point, they admitted the hotel was overbooked and said there was nothing they could do. The explanations also kept changing. One employee claimed they had tried to charge my card “in the morning,” even though I did not make the reservation until around 3:00 p.m. The hotel appears to have overbooked, canceled my reservation, and then tried to blame me for it. I was left to find other accommodations after a two-hour drive. Terrible experience. I would give zero stars if possible. I would never stay here or recommend this hotel.
