"This was one of our favorite properties that we have ever visited. It was a cottage surrounded by woods with a great outdoor fire pit and chairs. It is on a farm so you have goats and ponies to feed if you wish. the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. It is the most well equipped rental unit that we have ever seen with everything you could possibly mean."

"This Inn has been purchased by the current owners about a year ago. They have undertaken extensive remodeling of the room. The room I was in was a suite, freshly painted, new vinyl floors, new linens, remodeled bath with quartz walls in the full bath. The bed was comfortable, room was quiet. The room had a king bed, full couch, sitting chair, and writing desk and chair. The management was extremely friendly and checked me in quickly. Now the negative. It is obvious that the management has concentrated on improving the rooms. I saw staff cleaning the property and attending to rooms. However, they have not had the time or resources to spend a lot of time on the outside. There is obvious rust and decay on the steel frames for the upper walkways. They will need to be cleaned, treated with rust reformer, and painted. The parking lot needs to be patched. And the program owner had sealed the outdoor pool with concrete. All in all, I will definitely stay here again. While the rooms show signs of some aging, they are freshly painted and immaculately clean. That tells you everything you need to know about these owners and their commitment to your stay."

"Property was nice - we really enjoyed the back porch! You are in the country - we saw a few skunks wandering around as we drove in, but they didn’t bother us. The house met the description and fitted our needs well! The kitchen was fairly basic, but it did have most things we needed. The only thing lacking was hot pads - this might be nice to add."

"Lovely stay near great hiking spots in Shawnee National Forest.We traveled with young children and went hiking at several wonderful spots. This home was the perfect spot to rest after long days. Anything we could possibly need was already provided in the house. Seriously, these hosts stocked the house with every amenity! This was so convenient, especially because we like to cook at home for many meals. We were comfortable and happy here.The only con was the beds could have been a tad more comfy.Overall it was a wonderful stay, and we would definitely stay again!"

"This was the perfect home base for our family while visiting Garden of the Gods and the Shawnee National Forest. Everything was exactly has stated and shown in photos - just even larger than expected! The home was wonderful, and we appreciated everything provided including coffee and firewood for the firepit! Thank you for sharing your home with us!"

"I gave 5 stars across the board even for cleanliness, keep in mind this is a secluded cabin in the woods. I've seen other reviews... nature will do it's own thing. The location is amazing for venturing out to Garden of the God's. We got to enjoy seeing deer while sitting on the front porch in the morning. Full of beauty and serenity."
