"Immaculately clean and centrally located cabin for our Shenandoah National Park visit. Jason (host) was extremely responsive to our inquiries on the cabin and area. We wouldn't call it "tiny" for 2-3 guests from a square footage perspective, but acknowledge the primary bedroom and bathroom sloped ceilings might be tough for anyone approaching 6' in height (just a word of caution). Loved our stay and Jason's hospitality!"

"We are traveling from South Louisiana to watch the leaves change. We are making last minute reservations as we go through our trip. The black bear lodge was easy to book, great communication, so clean -and smelt so good upon arrival. It was close to Shenandoah and skyline drive. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend."

"We had a wonderful one-night stay at this cabin in Stanley with friends and our two small dogs. The mountain views were beautiful, and the host was incredibly responsive throughout our stay. The house was lovely and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The basement was a great bonus, stocked with pool and other arcade games that made for a fun evening. We had a great time overall and will definitely be back next time we're in the area."

"The house is beautiful, and check-in and check-out were super easy. If you’re arriving at night, it can be a little easy to miss since the house is down the hill and there are no signs or mailbox visible from the road. Other than that, everything was great!"

"The property was absolutely beautiful — spacious, spotlessly clean, and stocked with every essential we needed. Each bedroom had its own attached bathroom. The hosts thought of things most places don't: charging cables and adapters of every kind, coffee options ranging from a French press to a Keurig, flashlights for getting around the property after dark, and firewood and kindling already waiting for us. The hot tub was clean and easy to use, and we had a beautiful bonfire one evening — everything we could possibly need was right there at our disposal.The location strikes a rare balance: remote enough to feel like a true retreat, but only a short drive into town. The hosts had also left brochures for local attractions, entertainment, and dining, so we never had to guess where to go.Communication was easy the entire time, and the hosts were gracious and understanding every step of the way. We will certainly be staying here again — absolutely phenomenal."
