Rooms very clean, staff extremely helpful, free coffee machine in reception which was a nice touch, everything is brand new as they have just had a refurbed, very stylish and modern, my room was on the top floor and I could still connect to Wi-Fi which is always a bonus, will be staying again soon
24 hour desk service is wonderful. the staff answered all questions and provided any information that I needed. They quickly looked up information requested, called for transportation back to airport and in general could not have been more helpful. The rooms were large and we were able to stash our belongings on top of the water pipes. No sink in the room with the toilet which meant germs on door handles at all times. Short 1 block walk to the trolley system. Plenty of great restaurants with in short walking distance.
Only negative: Three visitors and each time the shower was used for the 1st time by a guest we flooded the bathroom. Would have been nice to have a reminder about being below sea level and the need for pumps to drain water etc. etc. etc. Must turn off water while lathering and washing hair. Americans are used to unlimited hot water and long showers.!!
My wife and I stayed here recently, and we found the hotel to be very clean and organized, the staff helpful at every turn, and the neighbourhood fantastic. The Linden Hotel is just far enough away from the loud business of central Amsterdam to allow for a good night's sleep, but close enough to walk to all the popular shops and restaurants. Definitely will be our go-to place when we return to Amsterdam!
Leafy and quiet, Jordaan (pronounced 'your-darn') is Amsterdam's most fashionable village area.
