We booked our stay for 2 weeks in July 2024. We were apprehensive due to the property not having any reviews on Expedia. We decided to take a chance and book it. I am so happy we did! This is the most amazing villa!! It is located in a very quiet and quaint town of Joppolo. The villa was beautiful! It was decorated so cute, and it felt like home. It was fully stocked with everything we needed for the time we were there. We shopped at local grocery stores and cooked almost every night. The villa had a washer and laundry soap provided which smelled amazing. The terrace was my favorite place to be. It overlooked the beautiful ocean which was about 150 yards away. The sunset and sun rises were the best I have ever seen. It was a 30-minute drive to Tropea to enjoy shopping and tourism. It was an hour to Reggio Calabria airport and the ferry to Sicily. Let me tell you about the host, Mrs. Jole! We missed our connecting flight and had to wait 7 hours for the next flight. We were extremely late checking in. It was 1AM before we got to the villa. We called Mrs. Jole and she graciously was there to meet within minutes. She was accompanied by her lovely daughter who helped translate to English. They were both so warm and inviting and we felt like we were visiting family. She explained a few things about the villa and told us call her if we needed anything. The weather was hot but the villa had the best AC! We felt safe and comfortable, and it was so quiet and tranquil. We will be back!

Ideale omgeving voor wie rust en stilte zoekt! Het vakantiehuis ligt in een mooi decor: afgelegen op een helling in een olijfgaard met een heel charmant terras met prachtig zicht op zee. ‘s Avonds word je getrakteerd op een fantastische zonsondergang. Het sober ingerichte maar proper vakantieverblijf zelf kan een frisse update gebruiken. De keukenkraan en de douche werken wel maar zijn aan vernieuwing toe. Een broodrooster en een waterkoker zouden een aanwinst zijn. De wifiverbinding is instabiel. Mits een opfrissing is dit een parel. We werden aan een restaurant in de nabije omgeving opgewacht door de sympathieke eigenaar die ons begeleidde naar het huis en dit was wel nodig wegens moeilijk te vinden. De toegangsweg is gedeeltelijk erg steil maar doenbaar. De eigenaars zijn gemakkelijk bereikbaar en snel behulpzaam. Er is een kruidenierswinkel op amper 2 km. Tropea ligt op 45 min en Capo Vaticano op 25 min. Wij verbleven hier 1 week en hebben genoten van de fraaie omgeving.
