My first assigned room smelled like they took a large amount of bleach to attempt a cover up of pet urine smell. It also had a room across the hall with a squawking bird inside, so I requested a different room. Second room had uneven flooring, dirt and debris such as old socks, toiletries and dog food pellets on the bathroom floor under the sink, peeling paint in multiple places on the ceiling. I guess when you look for a budget-friendly room you get what you pay for.

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this place is, for under $100/night. Staffwas super friendly at check-in. Rooms were clean, had a nice size tv, pillows, sheets, & beds were all comfortable. Pool & hot tub temps were perfect. We will definitely be staying here again.

Boiler went out, no warning provided and no offer to re-locate guests. Curtains fell, stains all over the floor, lights flickering. Is there maintenance staff here?

Hairy bedding
The bedding looked like it had not been washed. Dirt and HAIR on the fitted sheets. And on the comforter. The smoke detector needed a battery. They took care of the smoke detector. We had to replace the sheets. Did not feel comfortable in the bed.

Thank you for staying with us. Unfortunately, our maintenance team does close the pool and hot tub occasionally for service and do their best to minimize any disruption to our guests. Both pool and hot tub are currently open. We hope you give us a second chance!
Pool was supposed to be heated and wasn’t. That’s the only reason I booked this hotel. When I got in it was freezing.

Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback and have noted your concern. The pool is heated to a temperature of between 82 and 86 degrees per health department guidelines. When we add water to the pool the temperature does drop to the lower end of this guideline. Our pool is tested multiple times daily and we have had no documented issues. We will have our team do a thorough inspection to insure we meet expectations.
Great property. Good breakfast, limited choices but still ok. Awesome manager. Housekeeping needs a lot of improvement. Our room was not thoroughly cleaned and had some dirty spots.

The woman at the front desk could not find our reservation at first and was rude to my husband. Also our room keys stopped working 2 times and we had to go to the desk and get new ones. One time they said it was because they had us in for only one night instead of 5 and the other time they didn’t tell us why it stopped working. Very annoying when you are trying to carry a baby to bed at midnight and can’t get into the room. They treat you like you live there which is fine but why not give us more towels every day and take the dirty ones and give us extra garbage bags, ice bucket bags, etc. the room was nice and I appreciate what they did have available to us such as dishes and silverware, large fridge.

Great stau
Everything was okay until the heat/AC did not work but the front desk man fixed the issue. Also the room did not have much lightening. The facility and rooms were clean and I would stay again. Parking lot is very SMALL needs a bigger parking lot. I had to park in the other hotel parking lot.

so glad we found Mainstay Suites Joliet I-55. The only thing I questioned was that they printed my Credit Card after I had paid for our room when reserved online.
