"Unfortunately the room was left to cool to 18°C so a week bit cool upon arrival. Ultimately had to turn off ac. Tried the heat but burning smell permeated the room and the smoke alarm went off. Just ended up turning off ac amd kept fan going constantly for air circulation. Place was clean but empty garbage bins by side entry had a smell. No elevators. Wonderful they were dog friendly. There were actually quite a few. Getting breakfast was a challenge because of the dog so shifts were required. Staff very welcoming and kind. Although clean the entire place could use a few upgrades. Shower water pressure was poor so took longer ."

"The staff went out of their way to facilitate my very late check-in on a Sunday night. They could not have been more helpful and kind. The room was not large, but I didn’t need it to be, and it was spotlessly clean and in perfect repair with a very comfortable bed. I don’t know what more one could ask for at this price point. I would stay there again."

"Couldn't ask for more. We've stayed at about a dozen different cottages in northern Ontario and Lakeside Cottages in Bruce Mines is the best. The beds are comfy, the price is reasonable, the cottage comes fully stocked (no upcharge for bedsheets like some places!!!), the kitchen is full and also stocked (salt and pepper and oil and coffee!!!), the cottages are clean and pretty, the view is amazing, the firewood is onsite and included (not $20 for a tiny bundle like some places...), reasonable canoe rentals, beautiful lawn and playground for the kids, and the hosts are so nice, great at communication! This is our second year visiting and we WILL be back!"

"The accommodations were pretty good. Cost me $60 for two burgers and two fries to go from the restaurant below. And took them 50 minutes to make. There were about 10 people in the restaurant."
