The Bluebird- Bungalow w Spa & Outdoor Living

The Bluebird, in the heart of Johnson City and center to everything in the Texas Hill Country. Perfect for girl’s trips, couples getaways, and family gatherings. Just blocks to the best restaurants, tasting rooms, and shopping of JC. Whether you are visiting the Texas Wine Trail or the best of Texas Hill Country, all is close at hand.

The space
You will feel relaxed in the cozy modern interior. Also enjoy the outdoor living space with a hot tub, fire pit, and artificial turf for playing your favorite yard games. House can accommodate 8 people with 6 sleeping in the 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 3 queen beds total, and 2 inflatable beds for kids or extra guests. Beds have triple sheeting, which are washed after every visit. Fully stocked kitchen with all appliances including microwave, Keurig coffee maker, toaster and more. Cooking supplies included: oil and a variety of spices. Flatscreen TV in living room and free Wi-Fi to stream all your shows. This is a dog friendly home, with a max of 2 dogs, under 50 lbs. One crate is available and the backyard is enclosed for even small dogs. We are a cozy house at 1150 sq ft. For larger dogs we recommend our other property two blocks away “The Backyard.” Which is a larger house and a big yard.

Guest access
Managed locally for any assistance you might need. One exterior doorbell camera for check-in assistance and security. Front door uses a Wi-Fi connected lock with code that is reset after every guest’s stay. Three cars can be parked on site.

Once booked we can provide you the Best of JC List that includes restaurants, wineries, breweries, live music, and events. Great location

The property was very well kept and clean. The location was ideal with a quick walk or short drive to all the places we wanted to go. The lights in town were amazing! We would definitely come again and recommend this place to all!

Great family vacation

Excellent communication from the host. He made sure we had everything we needed, even went as far as having amazon deliver baking pans for us! Location was central to everything we wanted to visit and found great hiking as a bonus. Highly recommend!

A real nice getaway

The Bluebird was very nice and clean. There were unexpected pet friendly amenities (dog dish & crates) for our Corgi that were unexpected and a pleasant surprise. The bed was very comfortable and the hot tub was very relaxing. Proximity to the places we wanted to visit was just right. Also, on the first night I spotted a HUGE mule deer buck across the street through the large kitchen window. Would recommend.

Adorable home with fantastic location

As my friend said upon arrival, “this place is adorable!” This was my second time staying at Bluebird. Lovely, clean and well-laid out floor plan. Great, secure yard for our dogs. I do wish there was more grass back there, but the drought this summer has been hard on everyone! Excellent location—we walked to wine tasting as well as dinner each night. Will definitely stay again.

Pre-eclipse trip w friends

The house is beautifully appointed, nice backyard and hot tub. Two places to park cars!! That’s a bonus! within walking distance to restaurants, downtown and LBJ boyhood home and park. It was delightful place to stay. We did not bring our dogs but they had everything needed to accommodate them. Great place!!

Perfect Wine Weekend Getaway!

Where do I begin! This was the best VRBO experience I have ever had. Eric was great in communication and the small details were noticed! Including using my last 4 digits of my phone number for the door lock code, so smart. The house was beautiful, very clean, and smelled great! I am always a little leery about a hot tub but again it was perfectly clean and smelled like the correct amount of chemicals The beds are comfortable with an assortment of pillow softness for everyone. We did not bring kids with us this trip but they thought of the families too! Games, kids dish-ware, towels and blankets galore. We hope to come back to this area and will definitely be using them again!!

We had a lovely stay! Johnson City was a great town to visit and this house was in the perfect location. We could easily get on the road to go to Pedernales State Park, or walk into town for dinner and drinks. Everything about the house was perfect for us, and our dogs loved sun-bathing on the turf in the yard. Highly recommend for a weekend away!

Johnson City Stay

This was the absolute perfect location for our get-away to see the Christmas tree lighting count down. We would have been able to walk to the activities if it the weather hadn't been so bad. We will for sure stay again. Thank you!

Quaint little house

We absolutely loved our stay at the bluebird. It was a gery last minute trip to just get away and spend some much needed alone time with my husband. We had plenty of privacy and just enjoyed relaxing. There's enough to do in the area and it's not far from several larger towns, but has the quietness of a sweet small town. Truly enjoyed our weekend!

Christmas with the family.
