Pros: the host was very responsive when the air conditioner leaked all over the floor in the middle of the night. We also requested a blanket that they provided. They responded quickly and were nice. Good location and it was mostly very clean. Cons: they did not fix the air conditioner that leaked all over the floor. They cleaned up the water and put a bucket under the leak and left us a mop. The problem indicates the filter is clogged. The other air conditioner has a high pitched squeal (master bedroom) so we had to turn it off at night because the noise woke all 4 of us up when it came on each time. This is a basement apartment which is at the end of their description. There are people and 2 dogs that live upstairs. They were mostly quiet but when they weren’t you could hear everything. They parked in the driveway and blocked our only way to our door in the back yard. It gets dark early now and we would come home from dinner after dark and have to try to get by their cars in the dark. It was also hard to get our suitcases by the cars. You have to walk in the grass that has holes in it or try to squeeze between the cars and the trees. The place smelled like a basement apartment and aggravated my asthma. We ended up trying to spend time away from the apartment as much as possible. I suspect the people who own it have never stayed there. Things like not having anywhere to put soap or shampoo in the shower could be easily fixed.
