Adorable Historic Adirondack Lakefront Cottage on Long Lake
8/10 Good
"The Honeymoon Cabin was a good place to stay as we explored the Long Lake area of the Adirondacks. We especially loved the screened porch with beautiful views of the lake. And we loved kayaking around that more quiet end of the lake. The owner could not have been nicer. Thanks for sharing your lakefront cabin with us!"

"We had a fantastic time at Gary’s home in Tupper Lake! It was our home away from home! Gorgeous log home newly renovated and in an excellent location! Just a few recommendations- darkening blinds in bedrooms, trash cans in each room with bags, set of knives, measuring cups, casserole dishes, more big coffee mugs, spices, outside grill, coasters, and more kitchen utensils (wooden spoons, spatulas, can opener, potato peeler). No deal breakers at all but would add a nice touch We absolutely love the rug in the living room (sooo soft)! Also love the guitar and wooden bird nite light! It was a pleasure being your first guests!"
Cozy ADK Cabin in Tupper Lake - Near Rail Trail, Wild Center & Brewery

"The cabin is small but in great condition. The only problem I ran into was at checkout. I could not find the black garbage can where I was supposed to put the garbage."
"The Nest was a perfect place to rest up after a hard day of hiking. The hummingbirds on the balcony were delightful. Kevin was a great host and very responsive. I enjoyed my stay and hope to be back again soon!"
"The house was clean and neat. It was a good bit smaller than what I expected though. The bedrooms were tiny, each fits a bed but little else. The house itself is old, though some of it has been updated it could use more. The furniture in the sitting room is outdated and a few of the windows can't be opened due to age. For these reasons I would have given it 3 stars. However, the location is great and the outdoor seating under the pergola is so tranquil, makes it feel like you're sitting in the middle of the forest. I spent most of my time outdoors which was so relaxing. Hence my higher rating."
"The cabin was a little bit smaller than expected (photos on the website felt a little bit bigger) but everything was clean and comfortable. It was great having air-conditioning because we were there during a very hot week. We planned ahead and brought a an electric frying pan and an air fryer grill so that we could save a little bit of money and cook in our room so having picnic tables out on the grounds was wonderful to be able to take our food outside to eat.
The only downside was the Wi-Fi was very weak, we were not able to use the TV at all because it was connected to Wi-Fi. Thankfully there was a great thunderstorm that we could watch as we shut off all the lights and encourage us to tell some scary stories to each other!
My one suggestion would be to invest in a mesh system for the Wi-Fi so that the signal can reach all of the rooms and cabins successfully. Definitely helpful for parents like me that travel with children on the spectrum."
"We had a very nice 2-night stay. Property was well-maintained. There was a gentleman in the office when we arrived; he was extremely friendly and helpful. Pool towels were available, my kids jumped right in (it was a scorcher of a weekend!) The room was a comfortable temp. We didn’t spend that much time it, just wake-up and go to sleep. The fridge is NOT plugged in when you arrive - just a reminder! Our singular issue was the garbage. No one cleaned our room while we were gone (but that’s stated clearly.) My husband tracked a cleaning person but they didn’t speak English and indicated they had no garbage bags. With 3 kids and eating breakfast in the room, the garbage piled up
Pretty quickly; it would’ve been nice for someone to come take it away. Overall, a great place to stay while visiting the Wild Center - just bring your own trash bags!!"
