Wissota State Park: Whether you want to go for a hike or relax on the sandy beach, Wissota State Park should be on your vacation to-do list. Only a 10 minute drive and it offers a large, family-friendly sandy swimming and picnic area, located on historic Lake Wissota, and is set in a beautiful northern wooded area for walking and hiking. Plenty to do for the whole family.
Old Abe Trail: If biking is your thing to do, you are only 3 blocks away (less than a 2 minute bike ride) from the Old Abe Trail. This trail offers 28 miles of beautiful (bike or snowmobile trail) riding along the river and landscapes of the Chippewa Valley. Old Abe Trail links up to over 70 miles of trails throughout the Chippewa Valley. You can spend your whole vacation on your bikes or snowmobiles and visit many of the quaint eateries and historic sites in the area.
Leinie Lodge: Located less than 20 minutes away is the historic Leinie Lodge. Leinenkugel brewery was founded in 1867 and has been a huge part of history for Chippewa Falls. Go enjoy a refreshing beer out on their patio or take a tour and learn about the history of Leinenkugel.
