Jefferson County Holidays

This is one of our favorite spots. This trip was a bit disappointing. We couldn’t get into our room because the door broke. It took a few hours to fix. We couldn’t really leave our room once they pried the door open. Andrew may be a manager seemed irritated with me by the situation. There was varying communications going on. Maintenance told me one thing Andrew told me other things. I had to go to the front to talk to him because engineering had let me know they would be taping the door. Needless to say we canceled our dinner reservations in Vail Village for Saturdsy evening. It was quite an inconvenience and quite disappointing given that this is a luxury property.

Hotels.com gave us a $120 resort credit, but when we checked in, we found out that most of the amenities were closed. They did have breakfast which was overpriced. There was no restaurant for lunch dinner or drink drinks. They said we could use it at the room mini bar however it was just one full bottle of vodka, one full bottle of whiskey and one average red wine. It was impossible to use up the credit. They said we could use it at the spa, but the spa was under renovation and was not able to be used not to mention extremely expensive. Working with the staff to get us additional wine bottles wound up being very comical and annoying. Lastly, there were water bottles in the refrigerator and no indication that there was a fee for using them. We asked for additional water bottles and then they tried to charge us four dollars a bottle upon checkout. Fortunately, due to all the other issues, they took these off our bill. We recognize it’s the off-season, but the staff was completely under trained to support the facility.

Amazing stay! Perfect location to everything in town. Staff is so accommodating and helpful. Would absolutely stay again!
