Find hotels in Jbiel from £27

The best area to stay in Jbiel, Marrakech, is generally within the Medina for its historic character or in the Hivernage district for a more modern, relaxed experience.

The Medina, the old walled city, is ideal for travellers looking for a truly authentic Moroccan experience. It's a labyrinth of narrow alleyways, bustling souks (markets), and historic riads (traditional guesthouses). The Djemaa el-Fna square is the heart of the Medina, coming alive at night with storytellers, musicians, and food stalls. Hotels here often offer rooftop terraces with views over the city. Couples often enjoy the romantic and unique setting of a riad within the Medina, offering privacy and a taste of local culture.

For those preferring wider streets, green spaces, and a more contemporary feel, the Hivernage district is an excellent choice. It's located just outside the Medina walls, offering a quieter environment with upscale hotels, gardens, and modern amenities. This area is well-suited for families, as many hotels here feature larger rooms, swimming pools, and easy access to attractions outside the Medina, such as the Menara Gardens.

For a comfortable and enjoyable trip to Jbiel, the best times to visit are during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November).

During these months, the weather is pleasantly warm, with daytime temperatures typically ranging from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius. This is ideal for exploring the bustling souks, visiting historical sites like the Bahia Palace, and enjoying outdoor activities without the intense heat of summer. You'll find the evenings are cool and pleasant, great for dining al fresco in the Djemaa el-Fna square.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the mild temperatures, which are great for leisurely strolls through the Majorelle Garden or enjoying a traditional hammam experience. The spring brings blooming flowers, adding to the city's beauty.

Families travelling with children will also find these seasons more comfortable.
