A Charming Waterfront Cottage with Touches of Elegance
10/10 Excellent
"An idyllic stay at a property that was delightful, from the views to the overall comfort, and was well and amply stocked with thoughtful amenities. The location is great, in terms of proximity to Damariscotta and environs, but one also feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle of summer tourists. The kayaks were fun, as was looking for animals in the water at low tide. A true haven of a rental that was much appreciated!"
Don't miss the Pumpkin Festival weekend filled with lobster dinners and oysters
10/10 Excellent
"We loved everything about this house! One of the bedrooms maybe would be more appropriate for a kid as there weren’t outlets and internet access wasn’t great. But this didn’t dim our enjoyment whatsoever. We had a great time lounging and relaxing on the porch and felt super close to everything. The town was beautiful and so many fun options. Highly recommend!"
Biscay Repose, Biscay Pond, Bristol. Private, spacious, family friendly
10/10 Excellent
"My wife and two children stayed at Biscay Repose for two weeks and we absolutely loved our time there! Jill was a superb host. She was always very kind, responsive, and helpful both before and all during our trip. We had asked her if it the house had a crib for our 2-year-old son and, though it didn’t, she went out of her way to locate one for us. She was also very helpful with directions, since Google Maps is not reliable near the house (we discovered that Apple Maps did work well though). The house itself was beautiful, just as advertised, spotlessly clean, and well furnished and equipped. The house location is very quiet and peaceful, and steps from the pond. There is a small beach at the pond, but we spent much of our time visiting the Pemaquid beach and lighthouse, about 20 minutes drive, which are truly gorgeous. Damariscotta is the nearest town, about 10 minutes drive, with great shops and restaurants, on and off the waterfront. I highly recommend Biscay Repose. We’d love to return for a future summer visit."
