"You could be so much better, but I don’t think you will spend the money with the effort to become that. It’s an old property and it’s very European and I travel all over the world dozens of times a year so I do appreciate some elements of this property, the facilities in my room, but it leaves a lot… A lot… A lot to be desired. You need more lighting in the room that is so simple and won’t cost you anything. You can’t have bunkbeds. I know that seems European, but somebody was complaining that was checking in the same time as me with her daughter how many people really want bunkbeds this is not summer camp. I stayed in a hotel in Amsterdam that was very tight and small and they still managed to put a regular bed. I felt like the staff was more concerned with the martini bar downstairs than guests who are paying $600 a night as opposed to $15 for a cocktail. The var . The various people at the front desk almost felt like they were pulled off the street and didn’t know anything about the property. They couldn’t be more clueless and I don’t mean that personally. I mean that for management. It’s a great location, but you can’t rest on just that. Nobody was guarding the front door when an undesirable odd situation happened. A high-end boutique hotel needs to protect itself and its guest. I was fine with the lift but its outdated . 2/5"
