We loved our stay at this lovely home. It is well furnished and beautifully decorated. The whole property has a calm and relaxing feel. Perfect location for many local hikes. We enjoyed relaxing on the large covered back porch. This home has been completely updated inside. We’d love to visit again.
Weekend trip riding the Pickett trails, made great memories. Our friends are more like family. We even had a visit from the neighbor( small black bear) who we kept a distance from but be aware he visits every night so do not leave coolers outside. We will definitely rent again!!
Plenty of options. We loved just sitting outside around the fire pit watching the youngsters run through the open areas. Awesome trails and the dark out area makes star gazing phenomenal.
We had an excellent time with our large group of friends. The property is beautiful, and everything about the house was exactly as advertised. I will definitely look forward to staying here again.
VERY clean. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook. Plenty of room for the 7 of us to gather. Location of proprerty could not have been better for what we wanted, Would rent here again.
This property was perfect. Plenty of space for two families of four -kids space and adult space. Kitchen had plenty of pots/pans/utensils to cook anything. Outside grill was great to grill on. Fire pit was great to sit around with guitar and marshmallows - plenty of wood from the forest to use for the evening. Plenty of towels and linens. Front porch and back porches were well used for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. Anything you thought you might need or forgot you pack seemed to be there. We hiked every day.
Easy to get to numerous trailheads within 15 minutes of driving. Our favorite trip was just across the road (3 min walk) starting at the astrology field entrance to Pickett Park. If this property is available you should book it immediately. We'd love to return for another family trip. Thanks!
The close proximity to Pickett State Park is great. The trails are breathtaking some
are like being in a rain forest The lovely porches and landscaping around home is very relaxing Edwin York Park is also a must see Great family home
This property is beautiful and the hosts are very friendly. They reached out to us before the trip but didn't interrupt our vacation. We have stayed in places before that had LISTS of do's and don'ts making us feel UNwelcomed. I am so glad that was not the case with this rental. It is just a great place to stay and relax. The back porch is so inviting and we did some ATV trails while we were there - it is certainly a good place for that type of vacation. Also, there is a state park within close driving distance with trails and a swimming area. *Do NOT ride ATVs on road to park, only to the ATV riding area which is about 5 miles away (mix of gravel and paved roads). Technically, we found out the hard way, ATVs are supposed to be licensed in TN and meet certain standards before they can be on the actual roads there. As far as the home rental, I have ZERO complaints because everything was literally perfect! Thank you for a great stay!
The house was a great setup for us with 2 adults and 8 kids. A lot of room and a couple great TV areas. The kitchen is good setup with plenty of room to prepare meals. The house is situated in the middle of plenty of adventure opportunities, though it’s a bit of a hike to town.
Owners were great to work with and took care of a couple minor hiccups immediately.
Consumables such as paper towel, toilet paper, dish soap/scrubbers were minimally stocked, so that’s something to prepare for.
We were expecting lots of mosquitoes and ticks and were pleasantly surprised to find almost none and had no issues sitting outside in the evening besides a few gnats.
We would definitely stay here again. It’s a perfect peaceful getaway.
