The location and views are amazing. the unit is smaller than expected and a bit cramped. The dinning area is outside and during the heavy rain we were unable to use it. Also there are a lot of trucks going past and the unit is close to the road

Lovely views. I’m extremely disappointed by the lack of care given by the owner when we alerted her that our room wasn’t cleaned.

Overrated and poor service

Very poor. This place’s ratings are completely wrong and overrated. For that price, it is not worth the spend. Stained bedding. 20mim waiting time for anyone to arrive at check-in. Poor or no WiFi with rubbish explanations why it’s so bad. I checked in and checked out within 2 hours of arrival. Found a much nicer place down the road. The only thing going for this place is the view of the valley below. That’s it!

Wonderful little spot! The lady at reception was so friendly and the unit was clean, cosy and comfortable. We met a lovely kid you the name of Fanfan, who sometimes sells clay African animals across the road from windmill farm. What a lovely young man- go meet him if he is around.

Freshly renovated

Windmill Farm has nicely renovated chalet with all the necessary equipment. The manager is very nice and helpful. The chalets have beautiful view over the mountains with the drawback that it is windy. We used it as a base for visiting Rojal Natal National Park and it worked very well.

Highly recommended

Great hilltop location with panoramic views. Very nice bungalows. Highly recommended. Make sure you have a phone to call when the gate is closed after dark.
