We just one night as we’re you were passing thru . We didn’t expect fancy but the room has very run down …. Peeling paint , window that wouldn’t close properly , cold shower , old bed and bedding, limited towels ,The staff was kind and helpful but the conditions of the property were rough . That being said, the view of Madera beach , as always, is breathtaking .

Such a beautiful hotel! The landscaping, the view, the colors and all the sun and moon detailing made this a stay to remember. Easy access to the beach and boardwalk was the cherry on top.

Casa Sun and Moon is a very nice property. It’s in my favorite area to stay, very convenient. The staff that manages the hotel are very friendly and helpful. It should be noted that the double rooms all share a common balcony and the king suite only has a tiny balcony big enough for a chair. I don’t think that is clear on the website. The rooms are very comfortable (the beds here are always hard). Bonus- the shower is great!!! I would definitely stay here again.

Location right on beach and overlooking beach and town. Pool was clean and very comfortable temperature to swim in. Secure gated parking was available across the street at the reception area of the Casa's sister hotel where clients check in. Room size was large, bed comfort was similar to other Mexican hotels. Easy walk to numerous restaurants including Lety's. Would return. Great value.

We loved the view, and the convince. Unfortunately, there was no morning coffee provided. When we checked in we were not told about all we had access to so we struggled with navigation. As Canadians who have very little Spanish, it made communication difficult. This was on us and had nothing to do with the staff, it did unfortunately hinder the ease of checking in and out. What we didn't like was the room next to ours had the music blasting all night. As the room had door access, there was no filter and no one to tell them to turn it down or off. This made us leave the hotel a day early at the loss of our money.

My husband and I always enjoy staying here whenever we come to Zihuatanejo. Sweet little place with a mix of tourists from USA, Canada, and Mexico. Very convenient for walking the town and beaches.

good location ,you can walk everywhere from hotel hilly but taxis are right across the street.lots of stairs if your on the upper floors.pool is nice and over looking the ocean,stairs down to the beach,they are working on an all new beach wall that will join all beaches

I've stayed here twice. For me, the location is perfect. Close to town, close to great restaurants, and close to the two major beaches in Zihuatanejo. I don't need fancy. My vacation isn't ruined if tiles are missing from the pool or I see an ant or bug...it's the tropics. The staff couldn't be nicer and more accommodating. It's very family oriented because there are fridges, a place to cook, comfortable open space to socialize, a good pool for kids and reasonably priced. The rooms show a bit of wear and tear, but it's clean, safe, and more than met my needs. Large families come - especially weekends and it can get raucous. But it's happy noise.

Perfect Mexican Hotel.
I loved this small hotel. It is in need of some pool repair and some new paint. However, the staff works hard to maintain the hotel. It is located in a perfect spot, close to many restaurants and the beach. It is not a Barcelo, so don't expect that. Rooms are clean and it was very safe, as they have a full time guard. I would return!

Just got home from a 13 day holiday there .
We had a great time there. There are stairs to the 3rd floor and the exercise was great if your in shape or in your 30 to 40s . I am 61 and in good shape . Loved the cooking faciltiies on each floor . The view is lovely of the beach. Staff very friendly and accomodating . Wonderful place and had a super vacation there. We do walk 2 to 10km a day or 1 to 15 miles a day,

Beautiful view from the pool area!!! Basic rooms.
The resort is on the beautiful Zihuatanejo Bay!! The rooms are very basic, needs updating and fresh paint. Bedding was clean and housekeeping service daily.

Loved the Sun and Moon
We really enjoyed our stay at the Casa Sun and Moon. It was in a great location overlooking the bay and within walking distance of many good places to eat and downtown Zihua and the beach. We had a suite, which was nice as it had a small kitchen with a fridge, and a separate sleeping area. It also had a private balcony overlooking the bay. Staff was friendly, especially the security guard Jose, who was great. We would surely stay at the Sun and Moon again!

Great place!
We stayed in the suite. It of course is Mexico style accommodations but for $78.00 we were happy! Great having our own kitchen and it was very spacious. You can hear the waves from the beach but also the garbage truck in the morning. We really didn't mind and would come back here as you can see the beautiful beach and are just steps away! They could invest in a softer new mattress though and retileing the pool. The staff was excellent! Very friendly and accommodating.

So many things to do, the museum and the ruins were very interesting, about history, central Zihuatanejo great restaurants check out Vivas Itallian restaurant on the corner great food super people my second time in Zihuatanejo , will be there again love the people.

On the Beach, excellent on a budget
Nice staff. Very clean, but be prepared for unreliable hot water and insane door locks. Excellent beach and town access. Everything in walking distance (if you can hack the hills otherwise taxis are very cheap. The view is absolutely wonderful and you hear the surf as you fall asleep - priceless.

Old facility, poor staff performance.
It was just ok, not worth the price, we payed for a higher end room and were placed in a much smaller room that was not very nice on the first night, they had messed up our reservation. Second night got the room we paid for but the next morning they asked if we would mind moving back to the smaller unsatisfactory room as they had messed up some more bookings. We refused. The first room was totally inadequate, old and in poor condition. The room we had for the remainder of the stay was adequate but overpriced for the condition of the facility. The hotel was reasonably clean, just kind of worn out. There are much nicer places for less nearby. They would not adjust the rate for the first night, I reckon it should be half the cost, they told us to take it up with Hotels.com. Would not stay there again, the rooms were misrepresented. Unhappy with the hotel and Hotels.com. The maid was nice.

Ideal location but bad service and facilities
We have traveled many times and stayed at different hotels . I must say this was the first that the hotel receptionist and security failed poor customer service from start to end the rooms were incomplete . We had to ask multiple time for clean towels blankets. They don't provide you with a phone in your room so you have to cross the street to speak to the rude manager. I would not return to this hotel .

A nice hotel with a bay view - the hotel meets the basic needs with a few comforts, like an in-room refrigerator and pool. The veranda was the highlight, nice spot with seating and hammocks to relax and read and enjoy the weather and bay view.The room was clean and staff were very nice. The rooms all had access to either a shared kitchen area (one per floor) or had them in the rooms. I would stay here again although the bedding could use an upgrade and the hotwater was quite weak in my room.They had free wi-fi but it was not always reliable.
