The rooms where never clean they don’t even look like the picture I warn everyone going here to never come cancel book somewhere else. The first night they were fully booked and had no room for us so they sent us to some old room somewhere else when we had a baby. The rooms where never kept clean the ac never worked I WARN EVERYONE TO NOT BOOK IT DONT!!!

Avoid! I've traveled to nearly 50 countries and have stayed in a wide variety of hotels and hands down, this was one of the worst. Hotel staff mixed up reservations and gave our room away. As a compensation, they offered to pack a "free" breakfast for us early the next morning, as we had an early flight to catch. The breakfast was already paid for and they offered this as a compensation for their mix up. Despite having a receipt that verified a paid breakfast, staff was adamant it was not. They wound up compensating by $14USD in cash after a lot of negotiating. This was the last night on our anniversary trip and disappointing. Paid for a room w a sea view and wound up in a cramped room- bathroom door wouldn't stay open and even a quick shower flooded the bathroom floor because of poor design. Lumpy uneven bed and half used hygiene supplies were left from the guests beforehand; was the room cleaned prior to our visit? Mini fridge also did not work in the room. All in all, this was a mess of a hotel- would not recommend to anyone. The only perk is it's location and being so walkable to various sites around SultanAhmet. This was my 3rd time to Istanbul- will definitely be coming back to Turkey but never this hotel.

I booked adnd paid for a standard triple room with city view three months early. Yet on my arrival, the checkin clerk did not have any booked rooms. He tried to flog a basement damp room then another double room with a wall facing the window in another building. On our rejection he then gave us an ultimatum that he had only one last room (in Laila hotel, which i had originally booked) which was a double room facing a back alley. it was a double room with a third bed shoved in to make it cramped and tiny. In no way it was like the pictures they have on site. We were tired having travelled long distance with kids and baggage so accepted. It is bad management on this hotel side. The room itself was clean and newly furbished but the AC and fridge barely worked in the hot weather. The door locks and elevator also broke down during our stay. Only plus side was the hotel being close to Attractions. I feel, this hotel is ok if you can compromise but I wont be using them in future. Best to stay in a reputable/professional hotel further away and use Tramway to travel daily.

rude and appalling service from 1 staff member
The customer service is awful. Very disappointing. When we first walked in, it wasn’t a very friendly environment but we ignored that. I then came down to ask about breakfast the next morning and was told my booking didn’t include it. I showed a screenshot which says it was included and was repeatedly told it wasn’t. To be fair, the lady at reception was nice about it and I could see she was following her bosses instructions. However the man I assume was the manager moved out of behind the desk as I asked about the breakfast to walk right outside the door then as she was asking him I could see him shaking his head profusely repeatedly then as if he is giving in ‘shooing’ with his hands as if we were a problem without talking to us. Another rude incident was when I asked for a weight to weigh my bags and was brought a very small weight to use which was the size of my hand and unable to be used on my 30kg bag. I came downstairs thinking maybe I’m using it wrong so I asked the same man behind the desk to demonstrate it infront of me. He replied with ‘No because I have work to do I don’t want to’ and pointed at his computer... another member of staff came up with us. If it weren’t for his rude behaviour the rating would have been better as he was ridiculous. Not sure if he had a problem with us or it was his normal personality but it is affecting business. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour and I don’t understand how you can run a hotel and act like the customers are problematic

The reservation was made well in advance for 2 rooms at the Laila hotel. On arrival we were split into 3 rooms across 2 hotels. Leaving 2 children alone in 1 room. The 2 basement rooms in the Laila were damp. One room had no working lights in the bathroom. The other room had a hole in the wall plugged with a towel. The doors would not close properly. The following day we were relocated to the Reina hotel (there are 3 hotels in the group next door to each other). Our room door did not work, leaving us locked in on multiple occasions. The staff were really nice and helpful.

Great location! Just around the corner of everything you need to visit in Istambul, some restaurants very close. An overal great experience. Abdurahmon was great and treated us very well out entire stay

It’s a new hotel, hard to find for taxi drivers.... Road signs and hotel signs are not clear.... in the details it doesn’t mention that the hotel is on the bottom of hill so if you disable, elderly and have to use a pram/pushchair this hotel isn’t really ideal for them. Every nice location Grand Market, Blue Mosque and the town centre.

The hotel has two buildings. One the Laila hotel and the next building is owned by the same company but called the Lola Hotel. They sent me the Lola Hotel which didn't have the same quality as the Laila Hotel. The hotel did offer good laundry service for 20tl you get one item cleaned and ironed. the hotel was closed to all the tourist shop and Sultan Ahmet mosque so it was good and easy to pray. The area the hotel was in did have some good hotels but the place just looked a bit run down but generally safe. There isn't a point getting a city view because its just the back streets of Istanbul that doesn't look any good. I didn't even open the window as there was AC and the view was terrible. The breakfast was ok nothing special. The biggest problem is that the shower was an open shower with a level floor so the water took some time to sink away. It was just a bit unhygienic. The two out of three staff I dealt with where rude and generally couldn't understand me because their English wasn't good enough. The hotel was liveable. If you stay in this hotel don't go into the second building the Lola hotel and stay in the Laila and bring some shower sandals. Its a three star hotel so if you book this hotel you can stay comfortably if you stay in the first building and bot the second.

Thank you for your message. We like to apologise for the inconvenience caused. We have informed all our staff NOT to transfer customers from Laila to Lola. Both Lola and Laila are new buildings so you are right, a few of the rooms had issues with the showers due to the leveled floor. We are now in the process of fixing this issue. We have also recruited English speaking staff. We like to thank you for your constructive feedback which we found to be very helpful.

Glorified Knocking Shops.
Due toa problem with our original booking we were offered The Laila Hotel, although we were promised same standard or better in replacement of original hotel..When we got to the Laila we were told they were fully booked and therefore we were being put into their sister hotel The Divas. We refusedd to stay at The Laila or sister hotel The Divas as they are nothing but dirty "Knocking Shops" where nationals bring back foreign tourists back for a cheap single night. The rooms offered smelt of urine, toilet bowls where brown and badly stained, staff totally unhelpful. Tottally disgusted with both hotels, service and Hotels.com and these hotels provided.I highly recommend you drop both these hotels from your portfolio as soon as possible. Due to Hotels.com total incompetence my friend and I cancelled our 4 day trip from uk to Istanbul and returned home to UK on next available flight which incurred further costs to us. Will never use Hotels.com or anyone connected to them again. Utterly speechless.

At check-in they told me the room was in another hotel so this review is for Hotel Arinna - very dirty room - bed sheets dirty - towels dirty and tattered - stinky room - a lot of black mold in bedroom and bathroom - tiles in bathroom dirty - no house keeping - hairdryer Overall very dirty, tatty and filthy. Do not book!

Otelin resepsiyonu ayrı bir binada. Kapının dışına yazmışlar bir okla göstermişler. Okla gösterilen dükkan gibi bir yerde tabela yok. Şehre yeni gelen bir turistin bulması mümkün değil. Odada terlik, tuvalet kağıdı yok. Kirli çarşaflar, havlular lobby diyebileceğimiz laundry bag dediğimiz torbanın içindeydi. Yorumları okuduğumda abartı olduğunu düşünmüştüm değilmiş.

Die Hotel Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend bei Wünschen der Raumänderung! Sie haben uns ohne wenn und aber ein viel größeres Zimmer gegeben! Das einzige was wirklich zu bemängeln ist, ist die Arbeit der Putzfrauen. Bei der Säuberung gab es nie neue Handtücher oder Klopapier diese mussten wir immer wieder neu erfragen. Auch das sauber machen an sich war nicht toll. Es wurden die Müllbeutel ausgewechselt und unser Bett hergerichtet. Boden wischen war fehl am Platz. Aber durch die super Gastfreundschaft und das vorfinden eines sauberen Zimmers würde ich das Hotel weiterempfehlen

Das Hotel liegt an einer steilen Lage. Für ältere Leute oder Familien mit Kleinkinder ist es umständlich täglich den Hügel hinauf zu laufen. Frühstück war ok. Zimmer sehr klein. Erste Nacht war katastrophal laut. Dann beim Zimmerwechsel war es besser.

Hotel récent mais sale, mal isolé, rue glauque
Nous avions réservé une chambre pour 4 mais arrivés à l'hôtel, ladite chambre n'était plus disponible. L'hôtelier a plusieurs immeubles dans la rue et nous a attribué 2 petites chambres dans le lola hôtel (annexe du laila hotel). Les chambres sont assez récentes et paraissent pas si mal à première vue mais les finitions, isolation et propreté sont à revoir ! On entend tout des chambres voisines et du couloir... Les peintures des murs sont déjà sales, le sol n'est pas nettoyé forcément entre 2 clients ... et pas de draps du dessus... seulement une couverture, en espérant qu'elle soit changée entre 2 clients. Quant à la vue... gros plan, sur les immeubles délabrés d'en face, à l'image de la rue glauque et miteuse. Les seuls points positifs : la climatisation et la proximité des sites touristiques ( faisable à pied), la possibilité de laisser les sacs après le check out. Si vous cherchez un endroit propre, calme à Istanbul, passez votre chemin....
