This is a 3-star hotel maximum. The hotel is very hard to find down a back street and first impressions are not particularly good. Rooms are very basic, bed comfortable. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. If you want a daily clean you have to leave your key with the reception. We returned several times to find the reception unattended and the key available for anyone to pick up - therefore big security concern for us. We saw no amenities in the hotel. The bar is non-existent and we observed only one person having breakfast during the whole of our 5 night stay. The hotel is ideally located, right in the heart of a busy district with many bars and restaurants. Only a few minutes walk from the main shopping area of Istanbul and a 20 minute walk to Taksim Square. Best tip would be to use Uber to get around. Very cheap and good availability of yellow taxis. All in all, a clean basic hotel for those on a tight budget, but when we return we will stay somewhere else.
