First class staff, comfortable, well furnished room. Excellent location for visiting tourist sites which are a short walk away. Near Blue Mosque and Agia Sofia.

Such a wonderful stay. The staff went above and beyond for us. The hotel was excellent and was in a great location. Will definitely stay again at Hotel Amira when next in Istanbul.

Great location, easy to get to and friendly staff.

Pros: Location, friendliness of staff and comfort.
Cons: If the staff could just read the cues of the guests, it might help it to seem a little pushy and more on the helpful side.
Location: It's central to so many huge things to see and do.
This was a recommendation from a friend who had stayed there with her family. We were in town just for our last night and decided to stay here rather than at an AirBnB. The room was small but cozy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Maybe a touch too helpful but I don't actually see that as a bad thing. I can cary my bag, thank you sir. The place is beautiful and the rooms we designed and decorated very well.

Highly recommend this hotel to everyone. It almost feels like another world inside the hotel from everywhere else in istanbul. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere is comforting. The location is very convenient to all the main attractions in old town. We pretty much walked everywhere. Only really took the metro when traveling to the new town. Will definitely stay here again if visiting Istanbul again.

Great accommodation in City Centre

Posted 20-Dec-2015
Pros: Very friendly people, cleanliness and hospitality.
Cons: wish it can be bigger but because it is in old part of town there is just no space.
Location: Blue mosque, grand bazar, long walks, restaurants, sea side all walking distance.
After confirming booking, got email from Hotel, welcoming me and asking if I needed anything special. I asked for quiet room, good views, higher floor, good shower & king bed. Prompt reply, we will do our best. At checking in, a profuse welcome, offered a drink & told the room as I wanted is the one that has been reserved for me.Considering I had made the requests few months back, remembering this was most impressive. Room was small, shower tight but so are all similar hotels in the area due to cobbled narrow streets & space restrictions. Room was comfortable, airy & linen clean. Breakfast sumptuous, service exemplary. Happy hour was over but was extended same facilities because of my late check for free drinks & finger snacks. I must emphasize, the friendly, caring staff made stay most pleasant.

Excellent Location & Staff

Cons: Our room was spacious and bathroom up to date. The reason for the 3 rating on room cleanliness was because the hardwood floor had a "stickiness" to t
Location: Location is very convenient walk to many of the main attraction such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazar.
We arrived early in the morning (9:30AM)after a long flight from the USA. Our plan was to drop off our luggage and start exploring Istanbul. So it was a very pleasant surprise when Emre said our room was available, if we wanted to check in early. Furthermore, Emre invited us to have breakfast once we had freshened up. Not until we showered and had a bite to eat did realize how tired we were from our travel. After we finished breakfast, Emre sat down with us to give us a quick overview of Istanbul. In addition to Emre, the rest of the staff were also as welcoming and customer service oriented. Needless to say what a great start to our stay in Istanbul! Highly recommend purchasing the breakfast option. Very nice Turkish spread with just enough Western options to make all happy. Dining area is spacious, clean and staff service oriented. As I mentioned above, Emre during our Istanbul orientation, offered to set us up with a local tour guide, his good friend, for approximately $100 per person which we declined. The next day, Emre advised, he talked with his friend who said he would take us around at no charge. Obviously going from $100 to free raises "red flags," however, in this case our guide was one of the highlights of our time in Istanbul. We did not just go to the sights, but gave us history, details into the customs and took us to the "backstreets" of Istanbul, we would never have found.

Very cozy hotel, best location

Posted 06-Dec-2015
Location: Is located in Sultanahmet ares, very close to important touristic attractions: Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace.
The hotel is very nice, clean, with very, very friendly staff. The area where it is located is great, 5 minutes walking to the Hippodrome park, Blue mosque and the other touristic attractions. It has a roof terrace with great view. Not very spacious but this is because they need to preserve the old city architecture. I highly recommend it for couples.

Must go back!

Posted 28-Nov-2015
We stayed at Hotel Amira for a one night stopover in Istanbul on the way back from Europe, and it became an incredibly memorable part of the trip. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful to a level that reminded us what true hospitality is. The restaurant they recommended (with free shuttle) for our one dinner in the city was fantastic, with a stunning panoramic view of Istanbul and superb Turkish cuisine. Take their advice! The room was spotless, stylish and comfortable. The decor and atmosphere at Amira is what all boutique hotels proud of their city should aspire to. In the morning we paid an unforgettable visit to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, both walking distance from the hotel. Upon our return we enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet and then sadly had to leave. There's nowhere else we would stay the next time we go back to Istanbul.
