"Great stay but room wasn’t very clean with dusty surfaces everywhere. Hotel was beautiful with well equipped kitchen in the studio. Also very expensive if you choose to get a drink or food at the bar with service charges. Pool was a great addition but steam room was out of bounds which was a shame. For the most part, the pool was empty, but on two occasions we had to leave as a stag party (around 8 males) were bombing the pool and it became quite rowdy."

"Good: -Great location near cathedral & ( limited space, unreservable) free parking. -Clean period property.Good beds. Tea & coffee. Good room cleaning staff. Room first impressions comfy. No lift but not an issue for us on 1st floor. *BUT...Beautiful hotel but would not stay again unless following points addressed: Bad: -Room change requests to avoid the following problems were refused during 4 day stay.- NO sleep-Very noisy (loud waterfall gushing sounds) antique heating on 5am -9:30 & 5pm -10:30am.-Tropical heat room ( even with radiators off & window open). -24 hour traffic & street noise( with windows shut - ineffective & missing panel secondary glazing)--Loose metal road grids 24 hour loud clanging under traffic was mental torture ( mentioned in reviews by others)- Pub outer doors on tight spring closure. Constant door banging heard in room when guests entering & leaving ( other guest mouse no problem though) -Dangerous! Difficult, heavy sash ( broken cords)window opening wedged by supplied wood blocks- Slippy! in bath shower & "unpredictable" hot water supply. "
