Frequently asked questions

What is the nightly rate for a B&B in Isle of Eigg?
Prices for B&Bs in Isle of Eigg often vary, but you can find a great deal from £71 with Expedia. All sorts of factors affect price, such as location and the time of year. It usually costs more to stay at Isle of Eigg B&Bs over the weekend too. Travelers can find the best deals by being flexible with their dates, and by using our filters to sort prices from low to high.
When is the best time to book a Bed & Breakfast in Isle of Eigg?
The best time to book a B&B in the Isle of Eigg is during the peak season from September to November, when the island comes alive with stunning autumn colours and a vibrant atmosphere. This period is particularly popular among nature enthusiasts and those looking to explore the dramatic landscapes, including the iconic An Sgurr, while enjoying the mild weather.

In September, temperatures are often mild, typically ranging from 10 to 15 degrees Celsius, making it an excellent time for outdoor activities such as hiking and birdwatching. The island's natural beauty is on full display, and the chances of encountering local wildlife add to the adventure. With fewer crowds than in the height of summer, visitors can enjoy a more intimate experience of the island's charm.

For those seeking a more budget-friendly option, consider visiting in November. This month offers a quieter experience, where you can savour the tranquillity of the island and potentially capture some stunning photographs of the landscape bathed in autumn light. The slower pace allows for a deeper connection with the local culture, and many B&Bs provide special offers during this time, enhancing value without compromising on quality.

Every Isle of Eigg B&B has its own unique feel. Whether it's a cozy reading space or a sunlit breakfast nook to enjoy your morning cup of coffee, the quaint details are what make bed and breakfasts a home away from home. Travelers can look forward to personal touches, thoughtful amenities and of course a scrumptious breakfast at Isle of Eigg B&Bs.
