Getting Around:
Guests will need to make sure they have their own vehicle. Summer months are fine with a small car but four wheel drive is a must in the winter!
Other Things to Note:
What to bring with you!- You're coming to a wilderness area to vacation and if you plan your vacation well you will have a positive experience. In the summertime May and through the middle of June can tend to be cooler early morning and toward the evening hours. Make sure to bring a jacket and long pants you can change into when needed. Bring a pair of tie up shoes to protect your feet. Shoes likes flip flops or sandals will not protect your feet when you are out exploring. Layering your clothing is a good idea and then if your too warm you can take off clothing as needed. At least this way when departing your cabin early morning to go site seeing you will have what you need with you. July and August are pretty warm and you should still bring a light jacket. The rest of the year you will want to bring heavier jackets and long underwear, snow suits etc. You will need to bring your private toiletries like bar soap and shampoo as we do not provide this for you. Cabins are equipped with everything else you should need except food of course. Snow tires and four-wheel-drive are recommended for traveling in Eastern Idaho during the winter. Road conditions can change quickly, and even well-traveled highways are occasionally closed by blizzards or high winds. Before setting out, check the Transportation Department's website or call 511 for an automated, up-to-the-minute status of all thoroughfares. Wise motorists will also carry emergency gear (shovel, snack bars, water, blankets) in their vehicles to be ready for any contingency. Coming Snowmobiling? A reminder to anyone traveling back country areas whether skiing, snowmobiling or hiking: Remember the time of year, exercising all back country cautions. Take necessary equipment and survival gear when venturing into the back country. If you have a GPS and cell phone, be sure to take them with you, but do not rely on them entirely for a safe rescue if you find yourself in trouble or stranded. Cell phones should be kept close to your body & turned off to keep the battery full, so it's not searching for a signal & running the battery down. Avalanche Transceivers and equipment, knowing what the avalanche conditions are, and knowing skills to save lives are a must for everyone entering back country riding or traveling. Plan ahead. Make sure you know the area you are going into before heading into it. If you find yourself in trouble, stop, take a look around you, and do not go any further. The further you go the more complicated and dangerous it is to get yourself to safety, also making rescue efforts more difficult and dangerous. Make mental notes in relation to any physical features or landmarks that would assist in your rescue. Make a plan, stick to your plan, narrow the riding area, & most of all...let someone know WHERE you are planning to go!

Not too far from Yellowstone (35 mins to west entrance) so great price in comparison to other spots. All amenities were good and we all had a great stay. Thank you!
Perfect place for two people. It was quiet and perfectly comfortable. Shower is a bit small, but it didn’t ruin the experience. Was nice to relax after a long day in Yellowstone park!
Such a great little cottage. A bit off the beaten path if you are going to Yellowstone Park but only about a 40 min drive. I only stayed two nights and only used the mini fridge and microwave and they were fine. TV is a little confusing, shower has great water pressure, and heating system works well. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend to anyone looking for a cottage to stay in.
Clean and pleasant. Could have used a comfy chair to watch a movie.

Cabin was perfect for two people. It had everything we needed for a week’s stay and the staff was very helpful when needed. Couldn’t get the change machine in the laundry room to take my bills to make quarters so I called the staff phone number and someone came within 30 min and brought me quarters so I could do laundry. About a 35 minute ride to west Yellowstone. 12 minute ride to grocery store. Would definitely stay again.
This little cabin was as properly named, "cozy". We would definitely come back to stay in this camp ground again. Well maintained, clean and private. This cabin is about the size of a large hotel room, but has the feel of a rustic home. The staff is friendly, helpful and available when needed.
We stayed here for 2 nights and explored Yellowstone. It’s about 30 minutes away from the West Entrance. Great cozy cabin, perfect for the two of us. No complaints! Would stay again!
Great time at Yellowstone away from the crowd at West Yellowstone. Beautiful drive to the gate. Cabin had everything we needed. Pots and pans need to be updated. Very small. Good for 2 adults but no more.

First off, the INSIDE of the property was very nice. "Cozy Cabin" was an accurate description. However, I was extremely disappointed as we approached the property. Why is it that the advertised pictures are "less than accurate" of the actual property. The front door appeared to have been repaired with a piece of plywood. That aside, the cabin itself was located right next to what appeared to be, a contractors equipment storage yard!! There was a backhoe stored behind our "Cozy Cabin" and there was open access to the rest of the construction equipment. There was even a pass though road, right next to out cabin, to access the yard. The concept of "Enchanted Forest" was a complete falsification of advertising. Then, what appeared to be a public restroom was located within feet of our cabin!! Fortunately, there didn't seem to be any activities while we were there. Had I known of the placement of this cabin, I would NOT have selected this property. As such, I DO NOT recommend this to anyone.

cozy cabin
property met expectation for price paid
it does need maintenance, front door lock worked intermittently,
bathroom sink slow draining, sink stopper broken, coffee pot interior dirty, cook top lighter broken, barbecue grill rusted
we still enjoyed our stay
