Only 22 miles from the West Entrance to Yellowstone, this cabin is walking distance to some of the greatest attractions, amenities, and restaurants in the area. Robins Roost, the only grocery store in Island Park, is just down the road, so no need to worry if you forgot something on your list. Depart on a one-minute drive to High Mountain Adventure to rent kayaks, and journey to the popular Big Springs Boat Dock for a nice easy float down the Big Springs River, just five miles from home. Come to snowmobile or ATV? White Moose Cabin makes it easy to access gateways to hundreds of miles of recreational trails that are just around the bend. Though the cabin is close to necessary amenities, White Moose Cabin is tucked away in a towering lodge pole pine forest and nestled under the iconic Sawtelle Mountain. The quiet seclusion provides a picturesque view and soothing sounds of the forest that any soul would crave. It wouldn’t be unusual to spot creatures such as deer, fox, or moose simply passing through the neighborhood. Some of the greatest fishing is just down Highway 20 in the Henrys Fork Outlet or even Henrys Lake. The location is on point, but then again, you’ll have to see it for yourself to believe it. It is fully equipped, everything works, and it is very clean. The beds and linens are great, down to the large, hot-tub towels. The kitchen is equipped with a full set of dishes and great pots and pans! Currently, it is built on the edge of a growing area with lots of large homes. It is conveniently located to the park and is near a very nice small grocery store along with a couple of nice restaurants. It is in the heart of fishing territory on the Henry's Fork river. This was our second year staying at White Moose Cabin in Island Park, ID. The cabin was beautiful and offered enough space for us. The hot tub and heated garage were nice amenities that seemed to fit our trip out to snowmobile. The location of the cabin is close to gas and groceries, which made it convenient to refill and gather what we needed for food at the end of our day of riding.The driveway slope was a little steep.If you have a large trailer, talk to the host about alternate parking arrangements before you arrive. They were able to accommodate our 28’ trailer in a spot close to the cabin on flatter ground.The host was very polite and accommodating. We appreciated feeling like valued guests.We are looking forward to returning next year. ##### Ginger S. We loved staying here! Our flight was about an hour early so the owners were on site working on the property when we arrived. We were able to talk to them and they were very nice. The property is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed all the amenities they had to offer. We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed this cabin. Tyler was also great. We had a couple of very small hiccups and he was super fast at getting them resolved for us. We enjoyed the relaxing drive to Yellowstone and loved being close yet far enough to escape the crowd. We enjoyed cooking every day in the kitchen and every evening/night we were in the hot tub. We enjoyed the cabin so much, we actually took a couple of days off from Yellowstone to lay around and explore the area. We found a great little park with a beautiful waterfall (Mesa Falls). We enjoyed the hot tub, the game room in the garage, and the house overall. We had a great time staying here while visiting Yellowstone for the first time.
