"We had a fabulous time during our stay in Tavira. The villa is ideally located 3 minutes walk to the Gran Tavira shopping centre with a huge Continente supermarket open from 08:00 - 22:00 every day. It is only a 20 minute walk into town but as it was very hot when we were there we took Uber into town and got a local taxi back. All very easy and all the drivers were very friendly. "We arrived at the villa and were met by Joao who was very helpful. The villa itself is stunning and spacious and the surroundings are beautiful. There were a lot of dogs barking and cockerels doing their earl morning chorus but that was a part of being in the countryside. Preferable to road noise! Everything was positive apart from the annoying wasps. Be sure to take spray. The other really important thing is to ensure that you have a car. The villa is in the middle of nowhere which is lovely...

"My husband and I stayed in this lovely house with a pool. The location was quiet. However it was wonderful hearing the crickets and watching the stars late into the evening. There were a few supermarkets you can walk to that were reasonably priced plus restaurants if you didn’t want to cook. There is a lovely beach you can walk to in 10 minutes. "We loved Armona. The house is charming however full of ants and cockroaches. The electricity kept cutting out. The standard of cleanliness was terrible. The glass shower door fell off in my hand. The host didn't leave any check in instructions and wouldn't answer the phone or messages. The number on the listing works but I got through to a very rude Spanish man who hung up on me twice after shouting at me in Spanish."

"Booked a studio apartment last minute for 3 nights. Smart hotel, good security. Very friendly staff. Lovely pools as well as an indoor pool. Comfortable outdoor area. Spacious well equipped room, we did end up in a disabled room despite full fitness! Did feel if you were disabled there was only a shower over the bath which was quite high to get into, not a problem for us though. Had a nice meal in the lovely restaurant. Good parking. "
