"The grounds were beautiful. The pool was warm and clean..a car is needed as there is not many places that are safe to walk to. The description says there is a beach, there is no beach on property or walkable. We had an amazing dinner at Portale nearby recommended and arranged by owner. "The hotel was very well maintained. The room was clean, had refrigerator and nice shower . The staff is very friendly and efficient. The hotel situated on the top of the hill about 10 minutes walking from the center, 15 minutes walking from the beach, and 6 minutes walking from the train station. There are tons of great restaurants in the center. I booked this hotel because the website states that it has pool and sauna, The pool was great and clean, but I found out that If you want to use sauna, you have to pay for it separately €20/40minutes, also the use of the beach towel is €3 per use. If you want to use shuttle to the beach it is €20 at scheduled times. Breakfast was great, but would not recommend it for dinner. I only booked dinner one time, because they had local musicians playing Calabrian music. The music and performance were great, but the food tasted like warmed up frozen dinners and wine was not included in the price of the dinner (€35). They have good variety of massages and almost everyday, as an addition include complimentary mini facial , I think the name of the massage girl was Vincenza, she was really great. You just have to book your appointment at the front desk during morning time. Overall great hotel, would stay here again."

"We loved our stay here. The bungalows are a great size with everything you need. The grounds are wonderful and the beach and sea are beautiful. We enjoyed the sun beds and swimming everyday. The beach is rocky at the beginning of the sea but once you’re in swimming is great. The food was delicious and was different every day. Great way to eat authentic Italian and Calabrian cuisine. Service was great. I would stay here again. Hopefully I will."

"The home was clean and well equipped. It was still a little cold to enjoy the pool, but it looked like a great feature for families looking to have their own private area to relax and enjoy the sun. Having two bathrooms was certainly a bonus for even just a couple. My wife likes to have her own space. The kitchen was nice and equipped with a dishwasher. There were plenty of blankets and pillows. The view is the most amazing feature of this property. The secluded nature and security of the villa lends to complete relaxation, having not to worry about anything or anyone interfering with your holiday. Having a washing machine in the house was certainly a great benefit for us, as we were on an extended trip try and travel light, so being able to wash and refresh our clothes was a blessing. The location was very convenient to Tropea and local sites. We hope to return someday to this little slice of paradise."

"A real gem for a quiet stay near the sea.Our stay: 2 weeks at the start of Oct 2025.A bungalow attached to others in a beautiful, small complex between the coast road & sea. Beach is 2 mins' walk from front door. Complex is really quiet & peaceful in Oct; just a handful of people & no immediate neighbours. We really enjoyed sitting outside in the sun on the patio looking out to sea.Inside a rustic feel - this works well - even in Oct when the temp was in the low 20's and we mostly lived outside. It has all the amenities that we needed & all worked (except for a couple of days without internet - down everywhere locally). Kitchen had utensils for the simple meals that we made (and many more besides).We were greeted by the owner's parents - lovely & very helpful (my wife speaks excellent Italian; more of a challenge if we spoke only English?)Tropea has many restaurants - we really enjoyed Vecchio Granaio in the old town.Tips:• Bring insect repellent - lovely olive trees attract some (no loads) midges.• Bring car: coast road not great for walking, even to Parghelia. However, Tropea is 10mins in the car, Parghelia even less.• Electrical switches are randomly located. Not an issue, except when we first arrived it took a few WhatsApp messages with owner before we discovered we had mixed up the cooker on/off & kettle on/off switch.• Tourist tax is 1.5/person/night &, like in many hotels, is not inclusive - keep a few to leave on the kitchen table at the end"

"We had such a wonderful stay at Luisa & Riccardo’s villa. It’s incredibly spacious, with so many inviting areas to relax and spend time together as a group. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped – we cooked dinner every night for a group of six and had absolutely everything we needed, from utensils and cutlery to not just one but two large fridges, which made storing food and drinks so easy.The villa also offers two convenient parking spaces, which is perfect if you’re traveling with more than one car. We especially appreciated the sense of space – we were three couples, and it never felt crowded. Everyone had their own room to unwind, yet we could also come together comfortably in the shared spaces.And the views are simply breathtaking – the sunsets were incredible and became a highlight of our stay. Sitting outside and watching the sky change colors was the perfect way to end each day.Thank you again both!! "
