"We stayed 2 nights here while visiting Salzburg. It was a nice stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to English. We even lost one the keys for our rooms and they did not charge for it. Exceptional service. The only complaint was the shower in the room. It wasn’t the shower itself. The heat and pressure were fantastic. It was the fact that the doors to the shower leaked water out into the room. But I would definitely recommend it as a place to lay low near Salzburg. "

"This appears to be a fisherman's hostel that now caters to passing trade (people using it for overnight stays). Unfortunately, this now seems to translate into a degree of indifference about guests. The more interesting dinner choices are "unavailable" - and may only be used to get people to sit down. "Wonderful big old quirky room in a 400 year old hotel. Good old fashioned Austrian breakfast. The stay at Haus Wartenberg was a highlight of our stay in Salzburg. "

"I was due to arrive on Friday 27th Jan due to my 11 yr old son collapsing at school and being diagnosed with a serious heart condition I had to cancel the trip.
