The house is in a great, quiet neighborhood and close to the lake. The host was so nice to communicate with. Super fast to respond and also checked in on us mid trip to ensure everything at the house was good and to see if we needed anything to make our stay more comfortable. To better the chances of a white Christmas we chose a location close to Barrie but not too far north where we might get snowed in. The cottage is not lake-side or in a touristy area but we enjoyed using the BBQ grill and playing in the snow in the backyard. Inside was very clean and tidy with all the daily living essentials - note: there is only one hair dryer in the basement bathroom. We were 3 couples travelling with 3 kids and the house was more than sufficient for all our needs. There is a full fledged home in the basement which we didn’t even or barely used. The four bedrooms on top floor were perfect for all of us with 2 full bathrooms and a powder room on the ground floor. Kitchen was stocked with enough cutlery crockery and utensils plus coffee / tea pot and a toaster. The home was clean functional and aesthetically well done. Thanks so much for letting us stay at this humble abode. The hosts deserve a shoutout for keeping us well informed in advance of the house details as well as the neighbourhood.
