"The view was beautiful, there were two chairs to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. The room was very clean and quiet. We would definitely stay here again. One suggestion would be better signage to find the lodge and the entrance."

"Beautiful property, enough room for an extendedfamily gathering or family and friends! Space for both large congregating or quiet individual time.Hosts Amberly and AJ attentive to us and any of our needs, easy to communicate with. The large yard was a super playground for children and their games. New spa with sauna and hot tub! The home also featured a Fascinating collection of books to peruse. We loved every second of our time there. Congratulations to the hosts on building a beautiful easy to live in home away from home."

"Host was great. The house was perfect for our big family and the view was amazing. Did have a minor issue with hot water on our last night but the host was very accommodating."

"We were on family vacation, so we had 5 adults. there was plenty of room for all of us to sleep and just hang out. They had a very nice setup space outside, beautiful view of the mountains across the way, but because of all the rain we did not get to hang out there much. The place is up in the woods so if you like that that would be a perfect place for you. We wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle. It was about a 10 - 15 minute drive to the town area. We did not mind. We are from Long Island and really enjoyed the quiet up there. We actually saw a moose crossing the street our first day on the way to the home. That was exciting to us. We did not see any bears but we did see a bunch or Turkeys as well. Thanks go out to Jonathan our host for being very helpful with things to do and answering any of our questions that we had right away. If we go back to the Anchorage area we would stay at the Mountain House Again."

"The owners are very lovely, welcoming and informative. The house is beautifully decorated and the grounds are lovely with a pond you can kayak. The breakfast was homemade with love, delicious and plentiful. Wild blueberry pancakes and homemade gravy with biscuits and scrambled eggs stirred to perfection. My husband and I would highly recommend. Beautiful area to hike and explore. Loved Hatcher’s Pass and Matanuska glacier."

"Very clean and the staff was quite helpful. I would definitely stay at the Eagle Hotel again. They do have a laundry room and parking is easy and convenient."
