This was a perfect spot for our family of 4. Everything was really nice and clean. We stayed here during ski break and had a wonderful time. Very close to the Diamond Peak ski resort. Check-in and check-out was very smooth and I hope to return back next year.
Our experience was excellent. Check in was easy and friendly. The cabin was everything we needed, spacious , clean, and well stocked kitchen, and plenty of bedding and towels. Everything you need to cook several meals a day. Slept two couples and four kids very comfortably. Adorable community with close access to everything. Minutes to the beaches and Mt Rose.
Small, cozy house close to incline village amenities and skiing at Dimond Peak. The only annoying part was having to go to the property office to pick up and drop off the key. Would have been nice to just be able to check in with a code.
Everything was as advertised. Comfy cabin that accommodated the 8 of us just fine. The only complaint I have is that there were many spider webs when we arrived. Also we had to kill a couple spiders that were hanging out too close to the beds. All in all I would definitely stay here again regardless the spider situation.
We had a really wonderful stay at this cozy cabin—it truly felt like a little piece of heaven. The area itself is beautiful, and we had an amazing time enjoying everything around us. The cabin was comfortable, inviting, and a great place to relax.Leading up to the trip, communication was a bit frustrating, as it seemed to be handled by an automated system that wasn’t always clear or helpful. However, about 48 hours before our arrival, communication transitioned to the property owner, and the experience improved significantly. From that point on, the owner was extremely responsive, helpful, and easy to work with.During our stay, we did encounter a maintenance issue, but the owner handled it exceptionally well—going above and beyond in communication and making sure our needs were taken care of quickly. That level of attentiveness really stood out and was much appreciated. One thing to note for future guests: the exterior photos give the impression that the cabin is more secluded in the woods than it actually is. In reality, it’s located in a fairly tight cluster of other cabins. For some, this may be a positive—especially given that it’s bear country, having nearby neighbors could feel more comfortable and safe. For us, we were hoping for a bit more seclusion, so it was a slight surprise.Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this cabin to others looking for a comfortable and well-managed place to stay in a beautiful area.
Nicely appointed, warm comfy cabin with all the fixings: laundry, a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, and a great location. Well situated up Mt Rose highway for winter skiing and warm weather cycling. Yes, you do have to check in at a rental office, but they give a goodie bag and bottle of wine which is nice, and the check in process was very quick and easy. The only thing I didn't love about the property is that the upstairs bunk bedroom is like a loft, open to the stairs/living room, so you can't watch a loud movie while someone tries to sleep upstairs.

Did not meet expectations
At a cost of over $2000 for 5 days, we expected a better place. The cabin is old and in need of some care ( requested new toilet seats as current ones were old and visibly worn( they were replaced the next morning), dead bugs in light fixtures, Wi-Fi did not work initially and then failed again the last night. The kitchen was fine and we’ll-equipped; nice barbecue grill on deck. It was okay but not great.
The cabin was perfect for our family of 7! We used the kitchen everyday and all of the needed appliances, utensils and kitchenware were provided. The cabin was clean and we did find a little spider but we were in the middle of a forest so no surprise. While we were there it snowed and the walkways were cleared of the snow in the mornings. The location in Incline is perfect! Close to grocery store, restaurants, Diamond Peak Resort and sledding areas on Mt. Rose but far away enough that it is peaceful and quiet. Check-in and check-out was fast and easy. It is not far from the cabin but not on grounds which was not a problem because the kids (teen girls) spotted a few second-hand stores on the way there and they love treasure hunting at thrift shops. Nothing is walking distance in the winter months but if you are staying in Incline you probably aren't looking for a metropolitan area with direct access to shopping or other amenities. The place was perfect and the family that owns this property maintains a very homey feel which was marvelous!

Mountain Cabin
Not a very easy check in or check out process. It took about 20 minutes to check in at a location that was 10 minutes from the Cabin. They had me sign all sorts of documents that I had previously signed on line. The sheets were old and had holes. One of the guests staying in 1 of the 2 master bedrooms was touching the mattress because the sheets were torn and referred to it as disgusting. The place was antiquated. For check out they had us do certain chores and then drop the key off at the location we picked them up. I have stayed in VRBO locations all over the world and have never previously been inconvenienced in this way. This cabin should not be on VRBO because it has a management company and is not a vacation rental by owner. I wouldn't have rented it if I knew that I was dealing with a rental company.
We had 5 adults and 3 children staying with us.. The cabin downstairs was set up very nice, living room, dining room, kitchen, downstairs, bathroom.
Upstairs one bedroom was way too tiny for 3 beds, the bunkbd was dangerous as my 11 yr grandson fell out and Landed in between the next bd. The pictures are disceiving as the other 2 bds look like dbl size, but are twins. Otherwise it was a nice place to stay.
