When is the best time to go to Hyères?

Accepted Answer

The best time to visit Hyères is during the shoulder seasons, specifically from April to June and September to October, when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are fewer.

During these months, the temperatures are comfortably warm, ideal for exploring the town and its surroundings without the intense heat or large numbers of tourists that summer brings. You'll find it superb for enjoying the beaches, the medieval Old Town, and the botanical gardens.

For those looking for a lively beach holiday, July and August offer the warmest weather and all the coastal activities at their peak. However, it's also the busiest time, with more visitors and higher prices, especially along the coast and on the Îles d'Or.

Ultimately, if you prioritise comfortable exploration and a relaxed pace, the shoulder seasons are your best bet.
