This is a nice place, plenty of space for a family of 4, but bring your own toiletries and go shopping at the market for breakfast. There are just enough towels so plan to do laundry. It's a very convenient walk down to the harbor restaurant.

We loved the location as it is situated in the hills. The cottage is modern and a great place to stay the night after a long day of travelling. The check-in instructions are clearly communicated which makes everything very easy. We would definitely recommend this location.

Very basic accommodation. Enough for a comfortable night’s sleep, but furniture was very basic and there was nothing inviting about the place - as if someone assembled a bunch of okra stuff and placed it in the room.

This place was perfect for our mid journey stop en route to northern Iceland. It was so cosy and welcoming, with everything catered to. The owner left us some very useful tips about things to do and see nearby. We had an incredible night here as we got to see the aurora in a cloudless sky for hours!!! The seal watching nearby, the next morning was a bonus.

We drove here bummed because we haven’t seen the northern lights yet. Late at night we heard rumbling outside and the lights were bright and right at in front of our place. Loved this place and its cleanness. My friends and I said we would stay here again.

We have stayed here before and it is a convenient location when driving to or from the north or west. Easy to access and the host gives good instructions. There are 2 induction rings and a microwave. Filter coffee machine but no coffee provided as is normal in Iceland. No oven. Grocery shop nearby. Swimming pool nearby. There are no boat trips to view seals anymore but the Seal Centre can give you a map of places to drive to. Cabin is comfortable, quiet, warm and has good blackout curtains. All was clean. Had two small hand towels provided which was only negative.

Cute Family Vacation Rental Spot- Recommended

Great family vacation stopover spot. Very clean. There’s a small utility room with a clothesline to dry your suit if coming from an outdoor hot spring visit. Know that most rentals in the area have hot spring hot water systems that will smell like well water, not something that can be helped to my knowledge. Just saying to point out it isn’t an issue to be concerned with. There is a pretty full kitchen as pictured and picnic table out front. The grocery store in town closes early and opens late, so get your provisions early if that’s your plan. There’s a great seafood restaurant next door if you miss the timing. The walk into town from the unit along a small waterfall stream and park was really pleasant and makes the area feel much more walkable. If you are planning on seal watching in the area, many of the roads are not paved as of June 2024, so plan on double the time your gps claims. Many of the spots are closed due to tourists scaring the seals away, so do some research first. If pointing out anything to improve, the unit’s bedroom has two twin bed frames that can spread apart some if using as a single bed. Many European flats have two twins as a single queen/full, but often with one big frame to keep them from drifting apart.

3-room house. Very basic furnishings, but everything g is clean and well-functioning. Comfortable bed! Town has little to offer except the main restaurant; good food and we saw whales in the fjord while having dinner. It was a good, efficient stop on the Ring Road.

The place was beautifully designed and well equipped with everything you need my only complaint was it needed a deep clean I found a toe nail by the coffee table and the walls in kitchen had grease and food and dust
