We stayed in a Water Villa for six nights, and we had the most amazing time from activities to food to drinks. Our host, Zameer, was fantastic, he handled our reservations, minibar restocks, and explained our package perfectly. At the Lagoon buffet the service was unforgettable. The Chef personally guided my vegan husband through the menu, our waiters (Arjun, Salman, and Tharun) were incredibly sweet and always remembered our drink orders. Novi at the Lagoon front desk was very sweet, helpful, kind and funny. Kartik was a great instructor for our Discover Scuba experience. We had so much fun diving! We loved the Captain’s Bar, since the waiters were so attentive and knowledgeable about the drinks. We tried the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi for the first time and that was so much fun. The all inclusive package was definitely worth it! We enjoyed delicious drinks, the incredible Japanese restaurant, and snacks at Dhaavani. Having snorkeling gear, canoes, and the sunset fishing tour included made the trip even more fun and memorable. I want to thank the entire team for making our honeymoon so special!" We booked the Ocean View Suite and indeed on checking in it seems great , however later the bathroom started leaking water and it was the worst sewage smell we have ever smelt , spreading throughout the whole room .. Then at around mid night the power failed in the room , we were worried both about Hygiene and also getting and Electric Shock with the water everywhere in the bathroom. We had to beg to get another room obviously we could not stay there, we could hardly breath the smell was so bad . Initially however the reception staff said there was no other room available , we insisted and then after some calls we were found another room in sister hotel , It took almost to 2am to get sorted in the other room, The other room was tiny and extremely noisy in the front of the hotel and almost on top of a busy road. We didn't sleep. We complained at the time and also afterwards about what happened and also via hotels.com, who has tried non stop to speak with the hotel management , with no success. Management wont answer Hotels.com. You will understand that we would not of expected to pay the full price for the Ocean suite when we never had it and indeed the experience we went though. It is unbelievable we never even had an apology in any form. First, although we booked an all-inclusive package, we were informed upon arrival that we are required to pay for any food items or drinks left unfinished from the menu. This contradicts the standard understanding of an all-inclusive agreement. Furthermore, we were moved to an Ocean View Villa rather than the Sunset Beach Villa we specifically reserved. Most concerning is the safety and transparency of the resort. On arrival, we were asked to sign a liability waiver stating that the resort would not be responsible for our safety. This is particularly alarming given the high presence of bats throughout the island.
