This cabin is perfect for couples wanting to get away from it all, yet providing great proximity to amenities in Huntsville 5 minutes away. We are directly hillside to the Hidden Valley Ski Hill if you, or just a five minute walk to Peninsula Lake. Our cozy cottage is the perfect place to unwind by the fire or in the outdoor cedar barrel hot tub! Our chalet is a cozy dream. Arrive and relax in nature. We are located right across the street from Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Hill. At the bottom of the ski hill, a 5 minute walk away, is the private community beach at Peninsula Lake for Hidden Valley residents and guests in the summertime. ATTN: This is a SMOKE-FREE property, inside AND out. This wood chalet has one bedroom with a new Endy queen bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with the essentials – dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, 2 coffee makers (French press and drip), kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, gas stove, and Brita water filter. The kitchen/dining area/living room are open concept with a real wood stove with a glass front. Extras include outdoor cedar hot tub, Big Green Egg charcoal BBQ (bring your own charcoal), propane bbq, screened in gazebo, deck with really comfortable chairs, outdoor fire pit and Muskoka chairs, wireless WiFi, large TV with Netflix and Disney Plus. We supply fresh linens and bedding, towels and kitchen cloths and tea towels. We do not supply beach towels, so please remember those! We are on town water and sewer and even have an automatic back up generator that will keep the lights on in the rare occasions the power goes out. We have a furnace and a wood stove which will keep you cosy all winter long. Shade in the summer plus overhead fans will keep you nice and cool. There is airconditioning in the bedroom. ATTN: This is a SMOKE-FREE property, inside AND out. We provide a small amount of split wood for use in the indoor wood stove and fire pit. If you require additional wood, it is available at most gas stations and grocery stores. Check in time is 4 pm to allow time for enhanced cleaning. We often get requests for early check in. We understand you would like to get your holiday started, however it's not possible to ensure our cleaners have enough time to prepare the cabin for your stay. Guests are not allowed to launch boats at this location, but we will provide information on other boat launches in the area. Other things to note: Please ensure you have read the house rules before booking. We are licensed by the Town of Huntsville to operate a Short-Term Rental. Booking is for 2 adults, no additional guests or visitors as per Town of Huntsville Short-Term Rental License. Absolutely no smoking, vaping and/or drugs anywhere on the property inside and outside due to fire hazard and odours. Cannabis must be stored in your car as its odour can be absorbed by the wood building. A $500 damage fee will be charged for violating the smoking rules. Please ensure you remove all garbage, food, beer and wine bottles when you leave. We will provide information on local disposal site options. We understand that taking your garbage with you is not ideal, but we have limited options in cottage country. We reserve the right to close the hot tub due to maintenance, inclement weather or for any other unforeseen issues at any time, without prejudice and without affecting the guests full rental rate. This cabin was a treat and honestly one of my favorite trips out north I’ve had in a long time. The kitchen had everything we needed, everything was very tidy and easy to find. Can’t beat the location, it’s very quiet but you’re not too far away from other people which is calming at night. Just a 10 minute drive from the nearest town which is super cute and worth a good walk. There’s a Kawartha Dairy and a Beavertail boutique. Lots of nice areas to walk and see the lake. Will definitely be coming back here! Would love to see what the cabin is like in the fall! ##### Mia V. The cottage was clean, cozy and warm when we opened the front door! So inviting and comfortable! We used the pizza oven outside and made the most glorious pizza pies! The instructions provided in the package were perfect! A great place to stay, especially during the ski season.. literally steps from the lift! That wasn’t the purpose of our visit, but the walk down to the water was really nice. There’s villas right across the street, but the cottage felt private and the time spent in the cedar hot tub was brilliant! Thanks for the enjoyable stay! ##### MATT R. The cabin is set back from the road on a lovely treed lot. It feels secluded without being isolated. The decor is elegant, comfortable, and clean. The screened in gazebo was a great place to sit and read while listening to the wind in the trees, and the gentle sound of bird song. The window nook with the couch was also a fantastic reading corner, with large windows on three sides that gave a nice view of the forest. Deer went by the window a few times! The location is also good - close to Algonquin Provincial Park and Arrowhead Provincial Park. It is close enough to Huntsville that many restaurants will deliver, but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest. All in all, I had a lovely stay. ##### Agnes V.
