Loved this property, quirky layout which was different but good with everything we could possibly need. Nothing was spared it was all there from snacks to board gamesQuiet situation and close to all amenities and the beach which was a bonus. The owners made sure we had a comfortable stay and we would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful holiday let.
We were greeted with a buzzing lightbulb and a bottle of milk that was 5 days out of date. I had to chase to get check in details and no instructions were provided to find the key lock box on the dark. The location is good but the house just felt a bit grubby, with mould growing all up the wall in the ensuite. We tried to get in touch with the host about the overflowing bin that was there on arrival (which we had to sort ourselves) but received no reply on the number provided. Booking through Vrbo was a disaster - I had to phone another company entirely to make payment.I've been coming to North Norfolk for over 40 years and this year's accommodation was a disappointment,
The property was interesting, with bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor and combined sitting, dining and kitchen room upstairs, with sea views. Quiet residential area but close enough to the seafront and to various shops. Parking for two cars was adequate. However the property was let down by some maintenance and safety issues - no stairgate so we had to improvise one for our dog; Despite previously seen reviews, the ensuite shower temperature control remains stuck and was much too hot, and in the kitchen the mixer tap remains taped up with a leak. The garden is dog-secure but the very old bench is falling apart and we found no switch for the outside light so it stayed off. Upstairs a number of the wooden dining chairs were coming apart and could only be used with care. These matters prevented me from giving a higher overall rating.
