"We enjoyed our stay but were disappointed - canoe that was advertised was up on the dock and there was no way for two folks in 70’s to manage putting it in the water or taking it out. Plus, it was windy so we blew off reaching out to the host for help. The layout of the house is quirky although plenty of room for families that have kids. The view of the lake from the house is limited to the kitchen window. The yard is nice but the only place to fish was from the covered boat dock making casting a challenge. Additionally, what sounded like a car or house alarm went off our 2nd night there which was disturbing until it finally stopped. We never did figure out where it was coming from. As far as cleanliness and decor, we noticed black mold around the tub and a lot of mismatched furniture and stuff. The house looks lived-in (it’s a lake house) and that was okay with us especially considering the nice linens and towels provided as well as a decently stocked kitchen, snacks and water."
