Hotel is on the outskirts of HsinChu but only 100meters from both highspeed rail (30min to downtown Taipei for $20 - train every 30min) and local train (3 stops) to HsinChu. Hotel has a small shopping mall and 3-4blocks around hotel have endless Chinese food options and several small cute cafes. Hotel super clean and friendly, rooms are great and both breakfast and supper snacks are great.
