Hraunfossar

The place was clean and everything was good, but nobody told us that the water smelled so bad. We had to go buy bottled water in Iceland, even just to brush our teeth. We only stayed for one night, and we couldn’t shower because the smell of the water was so strong. It would have been helpful to know about this beforehand.

Property was in an excellent location with many sights, museums, restaurants, bars and bakeries within walking distance. The stop to catch the fly bus or the hop-on hop-off bus was just across the street next to the Harpa concert hall. They had lockers to hold your luggage if you arrived before your room was ready. The room itself was very small and I did not like the shower being directly on the bathroom floor that you had to squeegee to have a place to stand. The room was very warm and no thermostat to adjust. Only one small square window to open. We did not eat there.
